This is a great 5-7-5 contest entry. Short but not lacking in detail. Induced fear in me. Reminded me of the time I got a spa treatment where my husband and I dipped our feet in a tank full of sucker fish. Seemed like a great idea until I read articles on the risk of catching HIV and Aids through this practice. Best of luck in the contest. I particularly enjoyed reading your additional detail. Your poor wife and the other occupants on the boat. There's definitely content there for another piece of work!

This poem packs a punch with its brutal depiction. I love "tiny, tearing teeth" - adds such intensity. This is a poem that will linger - so unsettling. And that's a credit to your writing - you say so much (and so many visuals) with so few words. Great job!
