How heartbreaking! I know they say it's just nature doing what nature does, and in the wild, that's how the cycle goes, but it's still a tough pill to swallow.

It is so unfair, born only to die minutes later.
The death rate is very high 1/2 the births within a year die.
Being free has its downs.
