Uhh, I see how much I've fallen behind behind with everything. For what it worth, it's well written and I will do my best to catching up. All the best, Ulla :)))

and the beat goes on. Not much new here, pal, but I sense an undercurrent of mystery with Hazel.

Well done

I happen to be a great fan of chocolate covered cherries. Hmm, if she lost the earring on the night Edger died, but hadn't seen him for a couple of days, it seems strange to me. Also, if she administers medicine, wouldn't he have received some?? Can't wait to read more.
Oh my goodness, Joy, let it rest. Nothing happened." (missing beginning quotation marks, "On, and a comma)

Thanks, Barbara! Big help!

It is interesting that a resident would leave something to a person like an attendant. It sounds a bit suspicious. She claims she didn't see him the night he died but her earring was on the floor.

Oh boy! You should join the ladies as you hit upon a key point!
Comment from Debbie D'Arcy
Another amusing and fun-filled chapter as Hattie continues to keep the investigation on track. I love Joy and all her delightfully nosy questioning of Hattie's antics with Art (Rom)antica (brilliant). Wonderful idioms too. And the cherry-silencing is a winner when it comes to trying to keep Joy's gob shut! Now Attendant Hazel definitely falls into the suspect mix. Some small edits/suggestions below. Thanks for sharing your entertaining story, Doug. Take care, Debbie
Should the following have inverted commas - Apparently Joy didn't understand what I had meant by 'subtle' (or is this a thought process that should be in italics?
The attendant took on a distant look as if she were remember(ing) something.
After joy got a look, Hattie nonchalantly shoved (it) into...

Awesome fixes! I suck. I must have reread that five times. No eye for editing.

The ladies are on the hunt, and I do believe Attendant Hazel knows more than she is willing to tell. And does she really think telling the women no more meetings is going to work? I doubt it! Great chapter, Doug! I'm looking forward to some more undercover stuff!

My kids do art shows in homes. They have a lot of rules.

My bet is that they will continue to have meetings. They will solve the issue about the death, and she will fall for Art Antica. My only gripe is that you have a Windy Wendy with the residents! Lol.

This is a very well written scene. You used great descriptive words and very good dialogue. I think I may need to go back and read some of this work! Blessings, Teri
