I wish there was a Fanstory International Convention somewhere and everyone could attend. This entry opens the story up to what I figure will be an "all-star" who's who (or who dat?).

Three more hours in a car with Jane. YIKES! Glass barrier or not, that is a hellish situation! I do hope you don't plan on letting her run wild among the Fan Storians because some of us would teach her how to extend the word HHEEEEEEEELLLLLP!

Fantastic, Rachelle. Wonderful to see this side of you who has finally had enough, and it was great to see Gretchen in a more forgiving role too. The two of you have seemed to switch places in this part of the story, which gives us a fabulous take on human nature.
Of course, Jane never seems to change but only gets worse as the story progresses. She is the perfect foil for the two of you. This ought to be very interesting when you get to the convention!

Note to self: Safer to be Rachelle's friend (like Gretchen) than enemy (Jane).
This chapter was, of course, very funny, and I can all but hear the pressure cooker whistling, now that you've finally had the chance to let out that pent-up anger. Tell the truth, though. What really upset you so much about Jane is that she out-Jewish-mothered you. She mastered the arts of whining and guilt-tripping. Gretchen is a shiksa, so she fell for it, but you and I, as Jewish mothers, are impervious. (Just ask Leah.)
FYI, I have fully read all of your chapters, and most of Gretchen's. I've just been too busy to review them. Now that I've reached your last one so far, I figured it was now or never. I can't swear I'll review every chapter that follows, but I'll definitely read them.

You have the best reviews! They're hilarious posts in and of themselves. I look forward to them immensely, but of course I understand if you don't have time to review. It's fiiiine. I know I'm not all that important anyway. Don't give it a second thought, Michele. I'll just be in my darkened bedroom crying with abandon, knowing you couldn't care less - you're just pretending to care...just like everyone else. It's okay.

An apology from Jane Babies. We all know that's fake, lol. I love how you'll use text to keep her out of earshot. Also, the emoji and real-life finger. Brilliant, I was rolling over here. Unfortunately, the aggravation will go forward for you and Gretchen. Great chapter, Rachelle. The humor is impeccable.
God bless,
Steve

If you call someone a "low-class Dixie Chick," that is pretty bad. I'm not a fan. The dialogue is great. It looks as if Jane will continue the ride with Rachelle and Gretchen, if she can behave herself the rest of the trip. She did kind of apologize to Gretchen. On the way to the FS convention at last! Hurrah! I would LOVE to be there. Rachelle must be getting tired. She's preventing Gretchen from accepting Jane's apology, I hope the drive doesn't take much longer. Or all three might not make it to the convention. This is really enjoyable. I miss Rebekah, though. judi

Look out Atlantic City. I really like your conversations and how they form the basis of this chapter. I think I will go back and read previous chapters. Thanks for sharing and take care.

So glad my life is calming somewhat, and I could get back to your story. My favorite part is you and Gretchen back and forth to each other even though you are together in the car. And then you let Jane have it--holding nothing back. That is so you.
Hope this is not the end. I want to hear about the convention.

Wow, Jane actually apologized for her behavior??!! I'm soooo glaaaad she did. '...uncertain obsequious smile...' great description with good consonance. A fun chapter, well written. Blessings. Carol

Thanks very much. Yes, even Jaaaaaane can be made to apologize...well, you know, if the alternative is being left with her luggage in a shopping outlet parking lot!
Thanks for the fun review. xoxo

I missed a few chapters at the beginning, so I pictured Jane as being younger. Thanks for clearing that up.

Another delightful chapter that passes by so quickly due to your well-paced writing. Gretchen is an angel for giving Jane another chance. As always, I look forward to next chapter!

Yes, Gretchen is more woman than I will EVER be. She's the master of letting things roll off her back. I call shotgun for that trait in the next life...

lol, me too!
