I like how you conjure up the senses of sight, hearing, (seagulls screeching) and sensation (wind blowing through the hair) in this 3-6-9 poem. I think you need one more syllable in the last line. Best wishes in the contest!

This is nicely written for the contest entry, however the contest requires that you have three stanzas all related to the same subject so you might want to put in another two standard to have it qualify for the contest.

An excellent entry for the 3-6-9 poem contest. The picture you choise for your presentation is perfect. I can almost hear those rolling waves breaking on the beach. Good luck in the contest.

There is a feeling of peace and freedom in your words. Your use of words shows how poetry can take us to another place, the ocean and we can journey in our minds to somewhere else. Excellent short poem that makes the reader feel good.
