Hi Debi,
You must be writing about Helen (lyenochka). I didn't know the 11th was her birthday. I like how you linked her with Veteran's Day, because she really is a warrior... a Prayer Warrior, fighting on her knees. There used to be a song we'd sing when we attended Vacation Bible School in the summer as a kid... it was called "I'm in the Lord's Army".
"I may never march in the infantry,
Ride in the cavalry,
Shoot the artillery.
I may never fly o'er the enemy,
But I'm in the Lord's army!

Hi Kimbob, and you would be so correct in assuming it was Helen. She was a little shy about it at first and then she said that would be fine and we'll see who guesses. Helen's birthday is actually a mystery. She knows it is somewhere between October 11th I think and November 11. She said her friends always celebrated with her on Nov 11th so that is the day I chose.

You know I wish I would have had that song for her birthday. That would have been perfect. Oh well, maybe next year.

Of course you know who it is. It is Helen. And she is everything I say in my poem, even a "get some sleep" attacker. However, that is one of the things that means the most to me about her.

Hi there, Nomi. Thanks for this kind comments. I am not sure if you guessed who I was talking about, but it was Helen and yes, she is one who fights for friendships that are important to her. But better yet she fights to help others too. I feel like I have learned so much from this wonderful woman and I am so proud to call her my friend.

However, FIGHT for friendship was just one line to use words that went with Veteran's Day. Another way I related it was by a 'get some sleep' ATTACK, a prayer WARRIOR, and called ALL OUT WAR on satan be gone.

LOL, I was trying to be a little clever and funny at the same time.
So with that being said, I meant to tell you too, thanks so much for your service to our country. I am proud to call you my big brother.
