I'm sure your haiku says it all very succinctly and pricks our conscience for the harm we do and the "precious harmony" we disrupt through selfish and money-oriented obsessions. Nicely done, Peter, in compliance with the format. Good luck! Debbie

As God is greater than any and all of his creations, the day is coming, and fear not, it will come, when all will be set aright.
At the end of Revelation 11:18 the phrase "and for destroying the destroyers of the earth". This phrase talks about not only polluters, but also about the destruction of those pushing hate, greed, and unchecked violence.

Hi my friend
Your reflection on the message from Revelation 11:18 highlights the hope and justice that many find in this passage. It speaks to the promise of setting things right and addressing the harms caused by pollution, hate, greed, and violence. This perspective can offer comfort and motivation to work towards a more harmonious and just world. Thank you for sharing this meaningful interpretation.
Stay safe and well.

An excellent entry for the 5-7-5 poem contest. We have the richest man in America all hyped up about colonizing in space while one political party tries to end all safe-guards we have for our own environment. We will cause our own demise. Lovely poem. if only people would read it and understand.

Thank you for your thoughtful comments and for appreciating the poem. It's indeed concerning when priorities seem to shift away from protecting our own planet. The poem aims to highlight these issues and encourage reflection and action. Your feedback reinforces the importance of spreading awareness and understanding. Let's hope more people take the message to heart and work towards safeguarding our environment.
Look at the number of conflicts raging around the world.

A very well written 575 for the contest and I wish you the very best in the contest. It is a shame when man has so much and yet they do so much to destroy this ecosystem of this planet. May you have a wonderful Christmas and may God bless you. Patricia.

Yes, Peter, your silent plea does not go unnoticed. Humankind is destroying the earth's environment and we must stop before it is too late. This 5-7-5 poem is a haiku of sorts and speaks to the need to educate the masses about the destruction of our planet. I love the artwork by Seshadri! -You wrote a good haiku with a good topic.

he result of "man's pursuits."
-A very good satori line.
-Very well done; good luck.
-Usually in the Japanese forms

Yes, unfortunately we are ruining our planet with our ways. Plastic was the worse thing ever invented and has become a curse. What I don't understand is that shops are still allowed to sell plastic bags if you pay for them? Why can't they switch to paper bags. This makes a mockery of reducing plastic and only encourages retailers to make more money. A fine post for the contest Peter, love Dolly x x x

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and concerns. It is indeed frustrating to see the continued use of plastic bags despite the environmental impact. Transitioning to more sustainable options like paper or reusable bags would be a positive step. Your perspective highlights the importance of encouraging businesses and consumers to adopt eco-friendly practices. I'm glad you found the post meaningful, and I appreciate your engagement with this critical issue.

Thank you for your kind words. It's always meaningful to hear that a poem resonates and sparks reflection. The theme of environmental destruction is indeed a poignant one, and it's crucial for us to acknowledge and address it for the sake of future generations. I'm glad the poem and accompanying picture conveyed that message powerfully.
Many, many countries have a huge stockpile of nuclear weapons. Once they start to get exchanged then it is game over.
Take care
