It seems I've read somewhere that during the Christmas season the suicide rate is up because people feeling depressed and helpless. Thank you for sharing this poem with us. I see it as a reminder to check on our friends, they may not be all right.

a great gogyohka on a difficult subject that needs to be talked about more
seasonal affective disorder sucks... especially in the "summertime" when you everyone else is out playing lol
strong thought-provoking words

A thoughtful and poignant Poesque verse resonating for many for whom Christmas brings little to no joy. The imagery is, of course, beautifully apt; I love "darkness clings to me." Depression takes many forms, including SAD. Been there before, but was able to leave it behind. For many it is quite more difficult, and this is tge condition tgat tgat poems shows. It is well presented and verses. Travel to Texas in a few hours to visit our son.

That would be a terrible happening, that one didn't see the lights and the colour of Christmas, but rather everything lacked colour, like dark or colourless, well done, blessings Roy
