Lovely job. I'm a cat owner myself, and can picture everything you describe. Your poem certainly made me smile, which fulfilled the "humorous" requirement. But you also went beyond what was expected, giving us both an end rhyme and a beginning rhyme. I enjoyed this, and I wish you luck in the contest.
