ROFL! Well, you've certainly outdone yourself with this story. You've brought back visions of Trump standing and addressing the people of America with a Bible in his hand. I couldn't believe that lightning never struck. Who would have ever thought a convicted felon could be voted in as President. I'll stop right there, because if I get on my soapbox, it'll be hours. Thanks for sharing.

You have discovered the story that is utterly impossible. Trump will no more find God than a lion adopting a puppy. Well, that might happen, but Trump has spent his life pulling the wool over people's eyes and cheating them, he won't get over that illness. I hope you don't approve of his presidency. Sorry for the insult if you do.

I do not approve of his presidency, or of his character. He is a very sick man. I intended my piece to demonstrate that miracles can happen - and we should pray for them.
Thank you for your very nice review.

Your faith must be stronger than mine in regards to him.

    Saul of Tarsus got saved.
reply by Carol Hillebrenner on 12-Jan-2025
Saul was only killing Christians and thought he was following the law. None of the laws or good citizenship awards will ever go to the Donald.
reply by the author on 12-Jan-2025
My point is that if Saul could get saved, then the miracle of salvation could happen for anyone.

I think I want my God to be unforgiving to people who are mean and work at it.

Wow, wouldn't that be an extraordinary change of course. Despite being totally unrealistic, it would be truly welcomed. I like where you were going here, but based on the recent convictions, Trump has vowed to continue to deny any guilt for his actions. In my opinion, all is lost with this deviant.

    You are 100% correct.
In my scenario, a miracle took place. Absent such, it might take a full generation to recover, if ever considering the worldwide impact.
Thank you for your very kind review.

That was a clever piece. If he did become a born-again Christian perhaps he could still lead, but with humility and grace and mercy. These attributes would show the extent of his transformation!

I had the same mind set for Osama bin Ladin. What if he had a life-changing salvation experience? Or Putin?
Trump, with such a low IQ and his inability to recognize intelligence... It would have to be a healing miracle as well as a saving miracle.

Sorry. I completely failed to thank you for your very kind review

Lol. No problem. I was thinking of your story while out walking just now. Trump is clever in thinking up schemes, but that is not a sign of intelligence. As for wisdom, zero. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Aspiration to greatness is so contrary to all the Scriptures say about greatness. Fortunately we have God's Word for clarity as to things happening right now.

I did not give this the reading it deserved. Sorry. I haven't been feeling too well the last few days, so I may miss some of your posts. I apologize and will try to do better. Your words are important.

Interesting and well written. I noticed Obama contunually engaging witn Trump at President Carter's funeral. I was looking to see if Trump would go up in flames. These spiritually diverse people on our county's public stage right now can not be ignored. It's a something as one of my favorite comedians, Paul Riser , would say. Good work! Now we watch the convicted felon take office. :( Alex

You're welcome. Yes, sadly. I'm sure God tried to stop it but humans have free will. Also sadly.

I have never wanted fiction to turn into fact so much in my life! I can't even imagine those words coming from his mouth but it's nice to think about and pretend. Thanks for sharing

The way you portrayed Trump's journey from skepticism to belief felt real. The interactions between him and Obama were well done. I thought you did a good job with Obama's calm and gentle guidance. That really stood out to me. Great job.

This is a compelling and imaginative story that mixes political drama with spiritual transformation in a way that is both surprising and engaging. With some refinements in pacing and deeper exploration of character motivations, this narrative could become even more impactful. It presents a bold "what-if" scenario that challenges the reader to think about redemption, leadership, and the unpredictable nature of human change.

    Thank you.
I intended for it as a mere flashpoint fiction, just to get the hope from fingers to paper. I figured the characters and their motivations were familiar enough.
