No way.
I'm sure it tastes great with a squish of fresh lemon juice, but I couldn't eat it .. it's those eyes. They are staring.
Why remove the guts and bones and then leave those eyes?
I already hate it when people watch me eat, but this is taking it to a whole new level.

Hmm, I don't know. They may taste delicious, but they do not look particularly appetizing to me. Obviously I have never eaten this type of fish before, and I probably never will. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Yuck! Maybe we don't want to know THAT much about what the food looks like. I'd prefer not to see the head. (Thinking of the mother's reaction to the Christmas good with the head on.in Christmas Story, I don't think I could even fillet a fish. Great detail, but maybe TMI. judi

I see them in a completely perspective. Their faces look like cat faces now. Herring tastes good fresh or smoked. I need to go to the store to see whether they have fresh ones here at the north shore of Lake Superior.

My Grandma thought this was a poor man's meal and she always thought that those in living in grand houses only had kippers for breakfast when she enjoyed a lavish meal every morning. If I eat these, I can usually taste then for the rest of the day, a fun post Bill, love Dolly x x x
