This is a beautiful goodbye poem for Debbie. We are all going to miss her and her great writings. We will say see you later, not goodbye and hope she can return some day soon.

She will appreciate your poetry. No one writes like her at all. She wrote me that she wants to be back as soon as possible. This place is very addictive, And, we are like family. I have not been around a lot myself. But, I visit.

I'm with you, Jim. I read very little poetry and know nothing about it. But Debbie's poems give me a glimpse of what I'm missing and I always enjoy everything she posts. And although I'm sure the foolishness I write isn't in her comfort zone, her reviews have never been anything but kind and encouraging. She is someone who is friendly, generous, considerate, and brightens every day. The epitome of kindness. I hope she has a sudden change of heart. Thanks for sharing.

I confess that I don't read much poetry anymore since I seldom write it these days and really prefer prose, but I make an exception for Debbie's poetry. But the thing I love most about her is her wonderful, perceptive reviews and just discussing things with her in general. She is truly one of a kind, and all the things you said about her.

Jim,
A beautifully written addition to the book for Debbie D'Arcy. Yes, I'm still reeling, unable to fully process her announcement. It seems like she's always been here. and is a friend to so many. Your kind words will mean the world to her. Thank you for sharing. Sending you my best today as always.

Thank you so much, Sally. I think many of us are reeling and will surely miss her presence here on FS. Let's hope it is just temporary and she will grace our presence here again soon.

I agree I am greatly going to miss Debbie and I hope this leave of a absence isn't very long. Her poems are always wonderful to read and usually give me an education as I read. Thank you for sharing this well written poem with us.

Thank you, Barbara. Isn't she the best? Always so kind and gracious with such wonderfully conceived reviews and encouragement. And, like you said, such terrific and educational poetry.

Another great tribute poem to a great friend. I truly enjoyed reading this tribute poem and I thought it was a very thoughtful way to send a friend a note that you will miss them. Keep up the great work!

Thanks very much, Harry. I think a lot of people feel the way I do here. She certainly deserves the wonderful reputation that she has.

You are so welcome Jim! Yes, you are right too...

A fitting, carefully constructed tribute, perfectly metered and rhymed, free of any glitches. Visually it's good too. And the content, also fitting and prescient. Debbie has been an institution on the site here and added a great deal to the community.
My only small suggestion is to remove any punctuation that might even SUGGEST any breaks that would disrupt your perfect meter:
in my imagination. They become so real to me <= You don't NEED to have the period here. I often capitalize the start of lines instead. You have 7 beats per line with one beat of separation, totally consistent. It is fine for the thought to break after the word "flight", and not break the sentence officially. If you feel the need to have a period though, why not simply put it after "flight" instead.
Great work and thanks for sharing,

-Very nice artwork and presentation, Jim.
-Your notes and tribute are appreciated.
-You wrote a very good poem for Debbie
with effective imagery and rhyme.
-I will miss her, too.
-A very good opening verse, followed
by your line about the subjects she writes about:
"imbued with zest for life they are and great humanity."
-A very good closing verse. I'm sure your
poem will mean a lot to Debbie.
-Thanks for sharing it.

Jim,
Debbie is also one of my favorite people on this sight.
Your poem majestically describes both her as an individual and her writing. It's no wonder she wins award after award.
Like you, I'm sad to see her go, but it's for good reason. And I wait for her return.
You penned an excellent poem for this wonderful person.
