I think this is a good poem that shows a very easy to read message about trusting God no matter what happens. Great job!

A very sad, beautiful poem especially fitted to memorial day. The repetition of fields of stone make a striking image. God bless the men and women who do and have served. Even the one without injuries are often scarred. Thank you for this tribute to them, nice job.

Very good poem about the call to duty. A wonderful commemoration about those who have bravely answered that call and a remembrance of those who have fallen but will not be forgotten. Best wishes.

Well written and a great storyline. Good poems are harder to review than those of lessor skill - less to complain about. You might like my book of poems 'Patriotism.' It is as work in progress.

You have a very well written poem on your hands. I enjoyed reading it, although the subject matter wasn't enjoyable. The poem flowed nicely.

Comment from Warren Rodgers
Nicely done GW, I enjoyed reading your poem. The soldiers concerns and fears are stated very well as he prepares for war. He knows there is a good possibility he may not survive as he cries out for help. This has given me a good feel from a soldiers perpective. Very good writing! Best regards, Warren

I liked your connectivity in the lines, the poetic style varies and meter looks fine.
We are the ones, who made the call
As fields of stone remember the past
The names of the fallen will always last[ Enjoyed these lines]
