Another nice read deepwater but I feel it didn't flow as good as the last one. I think that is only because I tried to read it with a structured rhyme scheme which was wrong to do so.
Without reading it with a set rhythm I found I was reading it better the second time
thanks for sharing

I like to read about the courage and integrity of real, regular people in times of conflict. Your piece is a succinct tribute to one of those unsung folks. Thank you for sharing.

This is a great and tender poem honoring the author's grandma and which tell us about other times, when things were't easy! It's also very well written!
Congratulations!

A great poem celebrating your grandmother's life. It sounds like she endured and overcame many obstacles in her life. Very well done, Buck

Gary,
This is a nicely written tribute to your grandmother. You've used some nice internal rhymes. Somber tone, but it seems to fit the message you are conveying. Great work.

Oh the prisoners of war are sometimes the victims of all an enduring tragedy spreading too long through time, but as you point out the show us their bravery and that is a lesson we will never forget nor about their sacrifice.

Nice addition to your book, Gary. I enjoy family motivated pieces. Your words brought feeling to the photo.
From the darkest of internment and toil
The morning did come with a risen sun>>great lines here.

Very nice. A wonderful tribute to a marvelous woman, I presume. Nice flow and a fitting rhyme scheme. You portrayed her very well. Best of luck with your writings.

Tough grandma. "She lived through this time for all of us." I like this line because it implies that everyone and everything is significant. If she was not such a strong person, I may not be reading your poem today. Powerful stuff. I like the internal rhymes, kind of adds more poetic technique while still maintaining the serious mood of the poem.
