Hi Judith,
I looked you up after you reviewed my poem. I am very moved by this heartfelt post. I am 69 and a Grandpa of 12. I was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer -at least temporarilu now under control - but still life threatening. It has given me cause to contemplate my own life deeply, and I think I can relate to some of the things your husband went through. This was a beautifal expression of what you were feeling

Thank you very much, Douglas. I almost forgot about this writing. Dave has been gone almost 5 years now and I think of him daily. I am so glad you stopped by and also happy you have 12 grandkids. Enjoy them, as I know you already do. I appreciate your comments and the wonderful 6 stars. Thanks again. -Judy

Wow, this one made me cry but it also paints a beautiful picture of what awaits all of us if we know the Father. Reading this gave me a picture of God with a big smile on His face and arms wide open waiting to receive Dave.

I cannot help but remember that those that know God grieve with a peace and comfort and those who do not know Him do not have that peace that passes all understanding. I often wonder what our jobs will be in heaven. I know it will not be boring. I do not see heaven as a bunch of spirits floating around praising God and yet we will be praising Him as we will be in such awe for God, now that we see Him. Loved your thought process and presentation. He loves us so much.

I felt that this was an excellent work. However, I feel that God already knows what Dave excells in. From what it sounds like is that his dying process is really taking a long time. I certainly hope that you, Judith, don't tire of this lengthy process. I shall certainly be praying for you for at least 1 week! nreve

Missing body
Philip Shin
The bird
Beyond the algle of its flying wings,
The leave were up above the sky,
Just blowing the wind to its trees.
To say I was nothing to you,
Telling that this philosophy is for god,
It was her body.

From your journal, to my heart. We are living in times of change and I am happy to know that you know a better life awaits. I would be honored if you would visit my portfolio if you find time. It would be a blessing to me if something I have written would comfort you and your husband. There is a poem "Segue to Heaven" if you dig for awhile. Since your husband is involved in music he might like it. I think I posted it approximately April '09. You are in my prayers.

Peace be with you dear Judy. That husband of yours will have lots of things to do there in Heaven! "He can make a lawn look wonderful." I wish you much peace and continuous journaling!

Hi my friend,
Wish I had a six for you.
This is a very moving read and your emotions come through so very strongly.
May Jesus and God the Father with the Holy Spirit carry and comfort you as you watch your beloved husband slipping away.
You are in my thoughts and I pray that God hears your prayers. Am very sad for you, yet blessed because you know where he will be going to.

this is so very well written with such heartfelt emotion, the joy of knowing where your husband is going but pain of knowing he is going, your words about praising together in Heaven is wonderful

Dear Author; My heart goes out to those that deal with watching their best friend and partner prepare for death. There are not enough words of kindness to say. I'm glad that you already realize where he is going and that Jesus will be there to greet him when he comes home. ~patty~
