This is a truly heartwarming poem. Well crafted with consistent rhyme. It shares the bond that can exist between a pet and human family. Pets like Bozo are very special family members and create great memories.

This is a wonderful story in a poem. Sometimes one has to wonder what God has in story for us. This pet sounds like an angel. I know he is in gods care.

Hi Beth - your poem was recommended to me by Nancy Wagner. I'm glad she sent me your way. I lost my German Shepherd, Abbey about 3 years ago. I don't think a day goes by when I don't think about her. They are magnifcent animals. Regards, Bill

Beautiful poem about a beautiful! This dog looks a lot like one that came to our house several years ago, looking for shelter after it had been in a fight with coyotes. We searched for the owner but found none. I named him Samson. He was a fantastic dog!

Beth - I love your poem about the dog who could have been a guardian angel. It is sweet and sad, but also full of joy. I really liked it. Kat

No sixes left to give you, but you deserve an entire galaxy for this, Beth. You've written this poem beautifully and simply as your Guardian Angel deserves. (Who says angels have to look like men? Would you allow a strange man near your little girl these days?) :] Nancy

Thank you Nancy for the review and the lovely comments. You have a good point. In this case a dog worked better to protect me than a man would have.

A slightly different take on pets from my cat story.
Nice rhymes and a constant rhythm. Isn't it odd how pets can just appear and disappear.
It does seem to be a little supernatural sometimes.
I remember an old TV show called The Littlest Hobo, about a German Shepherd and his episodic adventures.
Goood story. Lee

Thank you Lee. It does seem supernatural sometimes. You know cats have nine lives. You could have buried that cat eight more times if he'd chosen to hang around.
