Sometimes good people don't ignore the problem, but will step up and genuinely help. Unfortunately many more don't want to get involved. This novel bring the right amount of light to a not so hidden societal secret.

I'm so glad that the nurse stood up to Bobby.I'm just curious what made Bobby the way he is. I'm also glad that Ellen Collier spoke up at the end, too. I'm very curious to see what help she can offer. Good work. Still can find no fault with your story.

I believe I mentioned in an earlier chapter that conditions of his release would be that he stay away from Anna and Michael. I'm sure the hospital would know that's part of the procedure and would demand to see his release papers before letting him in to see Anna. Also, the police probably ordered that he's not to see either one of them. With him violating those release orders, he should be arrested and thrown back in jail without bail. The nurse would call the police.
Also, because Anna is in the hospital, Child Protective services has been notified and would have given strict orders that the father is not to see, or take, Michael. It is required by state law that hospital staff report child abuse, but the police would have already done so since they're involved.

Yay I found the beginning. Not too short perfect start and it says what needs to be said. My brother acts just like this, and refuses to get help.It is very heartbreaking to watch.

I appreciate you review. I am glad you are going back to find other posts. I am sorry there isn't any money attached to them.

Good for you. I'm sure it's hard to write this, but good for you in putting it together and putting it out there. More need to hear about abused people. It's not just about women being abused. I knew a couple - he was the abused. Dangerously so.
And, this past January a next door neighbor, decided he couldn't live any more. He shot his wife in the chest, while she was sleeping and then shot himself. Very Very sad.
This happens far too often.

Yes, it does. I usually put stats in my author's notes, but my PC crashed and I'm on a laptop, until things get fixed. I'm not as comfortable on the laptop. Thank youf or the kind review.

Wow !! They should not allow thugs like this into any public place.
I looks as if Anna will be Ok
Again you kept my eyes glued to the screen with this lovey part.
Well done and God bless

I thought this was reasonably well written and easy to follow.
One suggestion - I think Bobby is over done a bit you don't need to state the obvious so often.

I will take you suggestion into consideration, but I actually know someone who Bobby is patterned after. Thank you for your kind review.
