My two favorites, heroism and giving women. Thats what I took from it, all this poem gave.
The kind of uplifting treatment an emotionally impoverished and sun deprived writer needs

Hi there! Thank you for digging this one out and sending a kind note. I fight depression every day and night and this person used to be a great friend...I sure miss having him in my life. Thanks again.

Hello Susan
I am never amazed at what another person can do for so many by just being loving and caring. My folks taught me that service to mankind was the greatest gift next to a smile that we can give to others. Here's a huge smile for you and your short story

Hi Bear! Thank you so much. You are right...but so many of us can barely take care of ourselves, it's next to impossible to be of any good use to others...that's a negative thought...sorry! I agree with your folks. But it's hard. I need a smile! Thank you again! :)) Susan

Hi Susan,
Whoever you are writing about must have helped you beyond measure and I happy about that. Everyone needs a friend like that even if you never meet. I delighted to see a happy poem for your pen. Well done...blessings, chey

Isn't it wonderful what a few simple words of kindness can do when someone is down. I'm so pleased you're feeling brighter through this friend's open heart! Nicely done Sue

Hi Susan, It is so good to see you come out with a happy piece. Sometimes your writing makes it sound like you spend a lot of time being down. It isn't necessarily a bad thing for a writer as far as their work goes because any time you can express an emotion strongly enough that the reader can relate you're doing a good job, but it is nice to know you have happy moments.

It's lovely to hear someone made your day and brought a smile to your face. It's nice to have friends like that.
They are very special.

Beautiful picture segues into your poem on Joy. Not sure if you are speaking of a person or an emotion. Feel it could be a little of both. Especially liked your first line, 'Joy found me today.' It is awe inspiring how the beauty of nature can cause a drastic change in one's emotions. Just as a kind word, or and outstretched hand can pull us from the darkest pit.

Awe :)
These are very nice dedication words. I'm sure the person who you've written it for will really be happy. It really is something when you find joy in people and what they do for others.
I think this has a great message in it, and as for the writing, well done.
Thanks for sharing!

I have learned as I grow older, my need for many friends is less, but my need for 'a friend' is valuable more than I can say. You describe this in your piece. I liked it. Thanks.
