Hi Carolyn, this is a very sweet and charming poem, as is the delightful photo which goes with it. I might have like a bit less repetition of "it's a rainwashed day" but that is a sweet and original line which probably adds to the merriment of this glorious poem,
Do you have any others? Your portfolio seems to have all stories. I love reading the poetry of others,
Blessings, john

Thank you so much for the wonderful comments. Yes, in fact, most of my work is poetry. From 5-7-5's to Sonnets, check under all and they will pop up. I am so blessed that you like my work. Enjoy, Carolyn

Carolyn, I was going to send you a message thanking you for using my art for this fun ditty, but this was way too cute to pass up. It has a rhythm all its own and one I will sing with my grandkids this weekend when they come to visit.
this is so cute and really makes the fun painting work
thank you for using my art, this was just a fun piece I did and you really made it even better

lynnkah, I am so glad you took the time to read and write. I wasn't sure how the interaction worked between FA/FS. This was so fun to write and I am planning on adding to it and currently working on the sheet music. You are wonderful! Have a great time with your grandkids... Best to you always, Carolyn

I can't wait until they get here. I talked to my grand daughter and read this to her, she loves to sing and she already put this to a tune . She's 9 years old and has the best sense of humor she wanted me to let you know she loved this poem also and said thanks for her newest favorite song. Guess you kicked Justin Bieber out LOL

Way to go with Justin Bieber! Have fun

I love the artwork that you post to go with your poem
I thought it was awesome,
And the words to your poem was a delight to read.
Tell me what kind of tune should it be sung in, or does it have melody I could follow?
Thank you for sharing.

I am actually 'pecking' out the tune for sheet music., I just made it up. You can't really go wrong just sing it as it comes to you. Thank you for such an 'awesome' review and I am go glad you enjoyed 'Rainwashed Day'. :-) Carolyn
Good luck with your tune. Your very welcome. Until next time.

I know you are to young to remember the McDonald's commercial when 5 - 6 year olds were lined up outside McDonald's singing "duck-duck waddle-waddle". That's the first thing that came to mind when I saw the artwork.
Anyway... I could probably pluck a little tune on my banjo to those words. As I read it, I found myself kinda singing it.
Really nice work... John

Thanks John, I am not sure how 'young' you think I am (that's nice) but I think I 'vaguely, (smile) remember the: duck waddle waddle. The banjo would be nice. I am trying to create the sheet music for this as we speak. You are so encouraging. Carolyn

This is a really cute poem. I like the rhyming and the cadance. You're right, it does prompt a tune in your head to go along with it. Very nice!

This is absolutely adorable and something a child should really enjoy, especially kindergarten or first grader. God loves you and so do I.

You, my girl are brilliant and delightful in your poetry and messages you pass on. You have the spirit of an angel and an Angel's heart when you write - you, naughty chick, you. Now I'm also whistling thee tune even though I am tone deaf.
Well done
You're a star
Cool bananas and warm regards

I have had several request from online and off to make it longer, and send in the sheet music. (which I plan to complete soon). What do you think? Thanks for enjoying this little song poem. No one is tone deaf in the heart. You are my hero.
