Oh my goodness! This is what they call an action, isn't it? Amazing, detailed and very easy to imagine. You slowed the time perfectly to describe the surroundings and this strange woman in the background promises a lot of conflict for the future.

Awesome second part to this story. It was action packed and full of excitement. I really enjoyed this part of the story and the little boy was a nice touch. Great job.

The Colt does seem to have remarkable powers. Lots of action, and dialogue adds to the story. Samuel's comment that he was a cowboy 100 years ago was clever. He does make a startling appearance and acts suspicious. No wonder the woman informed the police. Six officers shot--that isn't a pretty fact to have to record. Interesting that the police reports were altered because the actual facts were so weird. judi

I didn't find a single opportunity for improvement, but that might just be because the story drew me in to the point that I felt more like I was watching rather than reading it for a critique.
One thing not clear is how the little boy got into the crossfire. He seemed to be away from the action. It is good to see that the Colt hasn't forgotten him.
I wish I could offer a suggestion or two, but if this was a thousand pages I'd have trouble putting it down till the end.

Well, you've still got my attention with this bounty hunter continuation, lancellot. I quite enjoyed the gruesomeness of this particular chapter. I imagine it more than likely put some of Fanstory's more squeamish readers off just a bit.
I laughed when I read your author's notes. I'm so glad no one was intentionally harmed in the writing of this story, LOL...
Great work here, my friend!

Great word choice- shiny, required, quickly, warning, automatic, sluggish, spotted etc. The organization makes it easy to follow and read. Congratulations on being #13 and #83!

Thank you very much. I wouldn't pay too much attention to the rankings, they don't mean a whole lot. I've been a member since 2006 and important things don't show in the rankings. Helping each other improve isn't ranked, not really. Many writers on the site have encouraged and helped me improve over the years.

Thanks for the words of advise!

I'm so glad you decided to continue this tale. A bit gruesome, but well written and an enjoyable read. I look forward to part three and learning more about the bounty hunter. He does come back, doesn't he? I know, I have to wait for part three. Your notes made me laugh. Hope your hangnail wasn't too painful.

This was another fascinating read. You have managed to build the suspense from the beginning to the end. I'm so glad that he didn't kill the seven year old boy and his mother, but he had no trouble taking down the six police officers. The question is will he make it off that table. The vibrating "colt" painted a very realistic picture. An excellent read. Thanks for sharing.

this is very well written, lancellot, you did an excellent job writing this continuing saga of the bounty hunter that saved a little boy caught in the crossfires and the colt is waiting to go to the next set of hands.
