Yes indeed, so agree about programs, and people, who leave the true meaning of Christmas out. These are examples of what I have always referred to as the plasticness of Christmas.

More people need to remember what the day is all about, especially the last line. If not for that event there never would have been a need of any kind for Christmas.

Thanks Bro. I had to correct myself in that these will never replace the original genuine Christmas Carols. These were born out of frustration with all the rubbish they trot ou re Santa etc.

I was able to hear the piano just fine. I trust that was you playing. Lovely melody, and the words are so appropriate for Christmas. "Jesus died for us so we could live eternally" is such a hopeful thought to carry. Your rhyme was excellent. I could really imagine this being sung. judi

Thanks Judi. Not me playing but the Midi or MP3 file was created from my composing the tune on "Encore" music programme so I did create that. Check one other I did not have enough to promote "He Came TO Die For Us" the latest of all these written in 2002. Others all done in the 70's thanks for coming along.

Thanks Dolly there was a more recently written Carol I did not have enough "Funny Money" to promote if you want to check it out I wrote it in 2002. "He Came To Die For Us."

Hi Geoff, I liked your poem and I certainly respect your faith. I respect anybody's faith. But if there was a 'God', he or she would never have cast this nightmare on us all. I've always struggled with religion, and now, I certainly can never believe in anything like that. I'm so sorry. God is supposed to be good so how can this happen to all of us? I must not have been a fan in 2013. How horrible of me. I missed this poem too. I have corrected Roy a few times on his rhyming and he has reminded me that I speak American. LOL I have given up on correcting rhymes. Thank you for sharing again.
