Very nice, and also very inspirational. It made me feel many different type of feelings, but also it allowed me to feel serenity as well. Thank you for posting such a lovely piece of work and I hope to see more from you. Thank you

An excellent kiddies story with an outstanding message that should be adhered to at all times. Nicely written and good word choice, John. You really do have a knack for writing children stories.

Thank you Schalk. It's my dream to write and publish something. Becoming a millionaire at the same time would be nice... John

Great character names :-)
Excellent action verb choices like scamper and venture add so much life to the scene
I love the rules they set for themselves to accommodate the needs of the slow goose or to make things fair since not everyone can fly :-)
when Bert, a St. Bernard, would come - add the second comma
I like the friendliness of the characters and the moral of your story :-) Brooke

Great moral. Mango was very frightened and lost her way home because she went to the park without a friend or parent.
I like the way Bert shows up to save her in the end. She learns her lesson but still gets home safely.

I read this aloud to my kids, ages two-seven and they liked your character names. Particularly stinky skunk. Lol
We're all glad that Mango is ok. :)

Thank you Mel for sharing that with me. Some words may have been slightly over there heads... I should tone it down a bit.
Thanks for reading...

Hi John,
this is you forte my friend... I could not help but read this out aloud to my wife Jade, and yes we both enjoyed it very much.
Great likable characters makes this a fun read, and a must for a bed-time story.
I'm just glad I had this six left to give, it deserves nothing less... wish I had children to read it to... oh well, Jade's just going to have to listen!
Well written John, I truly love these animal stories.
Kindest thoughts,
James

Wow... Thank you James. Not just for the six, but the encouraging review. Identifying this as my forte, and sharing it with your wife, thank you! Sometimes I lose track of what my goals are and have to re-construct.
Thanks again for a great review, John

This is very cute, fun story. I think maybe some of the words like 'disparity' might be a little hard for kids to understand, but they can always ask a parent, unless the parent has no idea what it means. =} Maybe rather than writing, "The moral to the story..." You could just have Mango think about what a bad idea it is to go out alone and what a good idea it is to have a friend. But over all it's very cute. Rox

Rox, thank you for both suggestions. I was unsure when I used "disparity" and honestly waited for a reviewer to mention that possibility. Thanks.
I like your idea for the "moral to the story" part.
Always appreciated.... John

it is better to walk in groups because if something were to happen some one could get help fast same with hiking, swimming or any other things

Awww... that was really cute! We have a Beagle so I loved that part of the story. I only WISH she weighed 21 pounds... but we're working on that! This was a really good story and I'm so glad things worked out for Mango!

Our Beagle was my little "porker" also, but didn't want to portray that in the story. I could up her poundage a little bit. Thank you for reading and reviewing.
Always appreciated... John
