If I'd a little self-restraint,
I'd forgo cake without complaint.
Alas! My self-restraint is nil,
Temptation swoops in for the kill!
Apologies!
I had to rewrite for a love the way this poem was written.
All eight syllables with an "aa, bb" end rhyme.
Nice work!

I love the picture. My downfall is chocolate. I can not resist it. My first husband gave me my first taste of chocolate. I ditched the husband and kept the chocolate I would have kept him if he was half as good as the chocolate. Great work. Good luck with the contest.

This is one to which we can all relate at one time or another. Yes, temptation can often lead us to those delicious sweets. I don't think we'd be human if we didn't get tempted now and then. Nice entry for this contest, and I like the image you chose too.

Now the sweet thing would definitely get my mom, for me it's chips and chip deep. There's always something to tempt us. Good and enjoyable poem. God loves you and I do too.
