While this poem is beautifully written to convey the experience of watching a lunar eclipse (which I also love & feel blessed to see) . . . I confess, I might not have been able to guess that, without your author's notes. Thus is the difference between straightforward folks like me & those who think in imagery & analogy like you! *smile* The last line carries the whole poem, for me.

Well, I was happy to have framed this(though it stumbled in the booth as usual and I don't think I will ever win any of these).
I know you enjoy the simple poetry, but it is my natural way I guess. I too love these celestial orbs very much. They offer us a wonderful experience.

Your whitney has a spiritual feeling for me, as you create strong images of the moon casting light and shadow on the earth, while shadows are being cast on the moon. There is something both eerie and beautiful about an eclipse of the moon and you have captured that here.

Your whitney has a spiritual feeling for me, as you create strong images of the moon casting light and shadow on the earth, while shadows are being cast on the moon. There is something both eerie and beautiful about an eclipse of the moon and you have captured that here.
