Life lessons begin young -- and should stay with us all of our life. It works both ways, I am in my 70s and often learn wisdom from children. Best to you with the entry.

Hmmmmm well .... do we have a future Public Enemy No 1 here???? "Judo-chop".

Just luuuurve the Attitude! I have enjoyed this action packed little story. Seems to me flash fiction .... but I feel the pace in this cool due. It seems she' learned her lesson ... I hope so. LOL

Love the invite to the birthday party and the suggestion to bring a present. LOL Something different ... well done. Your image is superb and a perfect embellishment for your story. A great entry for the contest. I wish you the best of luck. Warm Regards - Lovinia xoxoxo

I think a good story well written. Of course you took a risk in writing about a cheeky little girl ..... some voters go for the happy or the sad, not necessarily the highly spirited child with attitude. Well done anyway. I enjoyed and you were actually right up there on my list ... I too voted for the happy. Sorry. Hugs - Lovi xoxox

Hello. a short, aweet little story. I think we all had to learn this lesson. It is always nice to know I wasn't the only one who had to learn the hard way.

This was a cute story with a wonderful little lesson enclosed. No problem with content. However, there are some errors with punctuation. Slowly proof-read and you'll catch them yourself, I'm sure. p.s. Good momma in this piece.

Thank you Delores! Grammar is not my strong point! But I will look it over again to see if I can spot the errors, and thanks again for the heads up!

A delightful short story written from a child's perspective.
It is difficult as a child to really want something so much and not understand why you can't have it.
You have planned the story well to start with a request, followed by a refusal which then results in an action and reaction.
A very interesting and effective short story.
