I love Frank Sinatra, with Fred I haven't had many interactions. I see you have a poem about each great artist. How about Celine Dion&Paul Anka "It's hard to say good-bye"? Just a suggestion...

An excellent poem! The poem flowed and connected well.
The author's words are strong, creative and sad. The poem is thought provoking and the reader pondered on this poem.
The artwork is perfect and enhanced the read.
Thank you, harmony13

But songs create a vast illusion, and the music had to fade,
Along with skin-enkindled fusion and the chemistry it made.
- Isn't every girl just waiting for her skin-enkindled moments? I certainly am :)
Terrific job on this David ...bravo!

Thank you SO much, L.A. I have to admit I really like creating compound words with the ole hyphen. :-) I'm so glad you liked it! I appreciate your time, kind words, and review.

Comment from Gloria ....
Cole Porter wrote some really good tunes. I just watched De-Lovely and it was OK. Nothing to write home about but I suppose it provided a little background into the man's life. I love biographies even if they are fictionalized.
In truth, David, I think this is the best piece of yours I have read to date. But I am holding out for the one that is really going to rock my socks.
Yours in the deep FRYer,
Gloria

Didn't he, though? Thanks SO much, Gloria. I think this may be my favorite of those I've written since I've been back here, and I appreciate you saying so. Feel free to hold out. The rogue likes that. ;-) See you Friday. Oiling up now...

This seems like it is going to be mostly light hearted fun, but it begins to deepen and becomes a truly romantic piece. I love the effect of the music and the fantasy that develops of dancing like Astaire as Sinatra sings in the background. Of course, any generation can insert their own icons. Perfect subtle use of song and lyric. Any more than you used would be clunky (technical term there). "skin-enkindled fusion" is the kind of phrase that sets you apart and takes it up a notch. Wow. Whatever kind of poetry the reader writes that it definitely a "What's up now" phrase. Great piece, mikey

It does definitely take a turn, doesn't it, Mikey? Thanks so much for recognizing that, and for the kind words. I do so like using hyphenated words for some compound fun.

Wow, another beautiful poem, so very tender and romantic. Perfect cadence and lovely imagery evoked, as well as the very effective rhyme...I honestly feel so unable to critique, yet again - there's not a thing out of place to my eye or ear or sentiment. You've even chosen wonderful songs! (*smile*)

Comment from Maria C.
Your center rhymes and end rhymes in your couplets are so good. That just makes it. Perfect meter as always. This tells a good though sad story. I am surprised you know who Sinatra is. Nice references to his songs.
Another great. I don't know how you have the time to turn these out like you do.
Blessings,
Maria C.

Good, solid rhyming couplets. Good internal rhyming. Good end rhyming and perfect rhyming with say/day...tears/years...missed/kissed...fade/made. Good complimentary photo followed by a thought provoking message.
