Your Dr. Who special effects comment reminds me of the ridiculous Daleks- conquerors of entire worlds who were easily thwarted by stairs or a scarf over the eye stalk and a spin. You already have me thinking of possible ramifications of his going back and forth without a commitment to stay. His essence unmoored?

Hehe, thank you :-). I need to fiddle with the last section a bit because it peters out a little and I want it to be more meaningful. So happy you like it!

You cooked up a tasty batch of fun with this chapter, Mike. Keep 'em coming. I'll be here waiting.
which might have been why he walked straight into the slap [I love this transitional sentence between the two moods.]

I hope nothing gets in the way of his return. His wife may well believe he has been the one showing her all the attention. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes as planned. It would be a shame to keep these two apart.

I guess I never thought about it, but I guess time travelers can't just go back and forth. My 21 year old, Steven loves to watch Dr. Who. I've never seen it, but I guess it's about time traveling. You are doing a great job writing this.

Thanks so much, Barbara :-). Indeed, Doctor Who is a Timelord, travelling everywhen in his police box. The old episodes scared the living daylights out of me when I was young. Looking back, plots ranged from dreadful to genuinely ground-breaking science fiction. One more chapter to go.

Another interesting chapter, Mike. But why do I have a feeling that Darren isn't going to make it back again, as easily as he thinks?

Mike, this was very fast paced. I smile when men write a love/sex scene - wham, bam, thank you ma'am and on with the show.:)I guess time is of the essence. I can't guess where you're off to with this story. It better be good because you're raising your reader's expectations. I enjoyed. luv jad

Clearly, you never read the sex scene in Bran's Torment :-). The last part is the one I was unhappy with originally so it'll take me a little longer to get it in order. So glad you're enjoying the story, Jada!

The atmosphere is set from the opening lines. Good description of the characters state of mind signifying that he was unfamiliar with his surroundings. Good transition between events. Clear dialogue between the characters. Nice, steady pace leading to a conclusion that leaves me wanting to ready more.

Worry weighed heavy on his mind, but - I added the comma
How sweet that he is willing to give up everything to be with Lizzy, and for such good reasons. Great character development. I also like what it says about his character that he is responsibly returning to the present in order to tie up loose ends. I really like this couple. :-) Brooke

Thank you, Brooke :-). I'm glad they're likeable characters - this wouldn't work well otherwise. Given the other thing I'm writing at the moment (you'll see what I mean, soon!), it's good to be working on something nice.

I get the clearer picture now, and we have a little soap opera added--Darren should get Lizzy, and Marcus (whoever he is) gets Darren's ex--what a swap. Anyway, I was right the rascal needs to stay in the castle. I've got a feeling something will go awry as Darren leaves the castle and makes preparations for the return. I enjoyed the descriptions of Lizzy. Kenny

Thank you, Kenny :-). Indeed, it puts a whole new spin on that Wifeswap TV show! The last chapter needs a lot more work than the rest has but I'll get it ship-shape as soon as I can.
