Great choice of artwork. Wonderful reflection that a majority can relate too.... first love and fun. A learning experience until the righter person comes along. Expressive. Nice work.

This is so lovely! Everyone must have a similar thought, back to their youth, their first love. Thank you for sharing, a delight to read!

This one is very sweet, nostalgic and gentle with the delightful picture to illustrate. Your rhyming was excellent. I found the poem a pleasure to read, because it reminded me of the tree in front of our house where young people have scratched their initials, Giddy

I enjoyed your nostalgic write.
I think those first stirring of love are often the strongest and are burned in our hearts.
We are so open and unguarded in our first loves.

Love the picture you chose to compliment your words. This is cute and moving. Do you remember?
Love the last line. It is amazing what we remember and maybe for entirely different reasons. The first kiss. Now that's something to remember.
I look forward to more. Nice write.

Reminds me of the song "The Way We Were." This is an idealized summer romance, very sweetly described. There are still memories of the first kiss, the disco dancing. "White knights in satin" is a lovely phrase. People change, but the memories remain. The boy probably remembers too. Excellent rhyme and flow in this. You might want to try "What of the promise never to part?" judi

The title, great pic & poem are all in unison.....Great read, for all who are still young at heart, even if age can make the white knight in satin, seem a lil tarnished, except for those keepsake memories.... Yes, Oh , those beautiful memories that has kept a young love alive..Thanks for sharing & think, "Carefree Days of Summer" is deserving of six stars.

Such sweet words. Your poem took me back to my first love. We were both so green but then again so was everybody else. We were in middle school. Your poem reads very smoothly and I like the rhyme.

Very nice.
Brought back to my mind several summer experiences with fun and childhood love.
The nicely place ending rhymes really enhanced the flow of the poem, while pushing my mind forward to the next lines.
Your nostalgic finish with wondering 'would I remember...' was classic.
Enjoyed it.

Ah yes...first love. You present it well. I also remember the disco. Lol Very well written about innocent first love and the wonderment of later years.
