A delightful expression here in this Haiku Ladybug of a special and 'delicate' moment of interaction between us humans and Mother Nature in all Her Glory and diversity

This brought back childhood memories, as I liked the ladybug's tickle as well. It's interesting how kids are generally not scared or annoyed by ladybugs, but any other insect would either create a scare or a slap or stomp. Very cute poem and one that can be enjoyed by both children and adults.

This, given the subject, is the coolest haiku I've come across so far. Marvelous. Reminds me of an old girlfriend!

Hi Gypsy! Yes, I've had this experience before. Isn't it fun when they land in your hand or on your finger? They do tickle. It's a stretch to grammatically connect your first two lines, as they should be (e.g. read them on one line as a phrase or sentence), but I do like the inference of the poem. Best of luck in the contest. Sue

I think this is a lovely little haiku, it's so endearing, it reminded me of been a small child and yes, that's what we do isn't it , let them run around on our hand, good luck in the contest,
Andrew

Your poem certainly meets the contest requirements, but the visual effects seem especially good to me. I guess you don't have to be a little girl for this to happen either, as I routinely get my arm tickled by Ladybugs when I'm in my garden.

This haiku, Keep You In My Hand, describes the scene of the picture that you've used well. I know these guys do tickle when they walk across you. It's when they're on your neck and back that they are a bother.

I enjoyed your haiku, Gypsy. You have the two concrete images of a hand and the ladybug. May I suggest you remove the word 'and' in the second line? I honestly don't think it's needed and it would make the line flow better. Just a suggestion. Best wishes in the contest.
Smiles,
Indy :-)

They're the cutest of the cute, as least it it pertains to the insect world I think, Gypsy. The complete antithesis of centipedes, spiders and scorpions. I owned a Cobalt Blue tarantula once named Damien. He tickled when I held him in my hand too.

Great little insect haiku you've created here for the contest. I hope you do really well in the contest with this one!

Thank you for the excellent review Dean, and for your kind words. Heheheh, owning a tarantula, fits you well. :)

You're welcome, Gypsy, lol. I was just a young lad at the time. Mom killed it 'cause he got out of his terrarium. It took an entire can of RAID bug spray to do it.

    RIP, Damien... :)

    heheheh, poor Damien :)

Yeah, and poor mom, too. She's terrified of itsy-bitsy spiders, much less a bright blue one as big as your hand, LOL.... :D
