I like how you talk to the fish! What an enjoyable read. I think you caught the enjoyment of fishing between a father and a child. And especially through the eyes of a child. Just terrific!

Hello author a bed time story sounds more like a horror story you would tell at Halloween around a campfire
Look at this-
the water below it( Dad) knowing I could not swim.

An excellent creepy story of father and son fishing trip to the lake. I don't understand the ending. Did the boy die? I thought he did but then he kills the dad and he walks away? Good job either way.

He died, but in exchange for revenging his death, and providing grub for the sea creatures, he was restored back to life by the first sea creature introduced in the story. Glad you enjoyed this little fishing trip adventure.

The tale is whimsical, for a murder-for-insurance story, with a talking shark and a dead narrator. The ending was a bit uneven, I feel, as it appears the boy is alive and not dead. How I love to rationalize fantasy.

Thanks for your comments and support as always. The creature gave the boy back his life in exchange for the grub was the point I was trying to relate.

Hi Brett,
I really enjoyed reading this story too. I guess the dad, who killed his son, now met his waterloo and the boy is alive again. This was nicely written and an interesting read. I look forward to more of your stories.
