How brilliant this is. I am a bit slow getting around as I have been sidetracked with life's issues also. A magnificent write. Sadly I have no sixes left.
You have written this with dignity and wisdom.
Bravo.
My best to you,

Wow.
Just... well.. wow.
This poem brings up such emotions.
I lost my dear dear mother-in-law in 1991 to breast cancer. I still remember the day she pulled up her blouse, a proud lady she was, and showed me her 'battle scars'. She said, 'touch them', the scars... 'touch them', so simply said.

and I did.
And we cried.
yeah, i've never told anyone about that.
But I should. and now I have.

And as I sit here crying, I am touched by your words:
'But at the end of the day I know
breasts are just ornaments of beauty,
but the abundance of life is the blessed tree
from which the ornaments once adorned."

she, and others just like her... will always be beautiful women... and in our eyes, they shine like the billions of stars which this poem deserves , yet which I do not have to bestow upon it... but which cry out in my tears for it right now.

You MUST know how special this is.

And now, I do as well.
Beautiful.
You make me love her all over again.

Thank you,
Cat

Your poem brought tears to my eyes. You conveyed the emotion I have felt so many times so well with this. Both the poem and music are heart wrenching and yet beautiful. Thank you for speaking what so many of us feel.

Sasha, thank you. I am humbled.

Dj will love Mazatlan. I have been about 7 times but not in the last 4 years. And January is a perfect time to go.

    Again a huge thank you.

Wow, I love it when you stop by. Yes, many stories. Hers is beautiful, others bring you to a stark reality of possible devastation within our given breaths. Breast cancer, as with any cancers, is highly prevelent today. It sickens me and it alarms me for many reasons.

Thank you so very much. Love you too!

I feel this work is a great shout out for woman, writer pounding drums reminds us of actualities about our bodies, lost of certain features not directing a missing of oneself true identity, beautifully said

A poignant portrait of this minty year old woman coming in for a new prosthesis. The imagery and sentiment so very compelling. Even at her age. Her vitality makes it so. Your poetic imagery drives this to exceptional detail of thought and reality that makes it so touching. Bravo.

What a wonderfully touching real moment in so many womens lives.
Witout eading again I can't even say in what form it was written.
but it does leave a bright if stinging feeling.of compassion.
Dr Brownstein says lots of these ops might not be needed if women had ample iodyne to support healthy thyroid function. You can find him on google. He has many Dr's support on that.keep well. :-)).Z.

I truly loved, loved, loved this one and so sorry to not have the deserved sixth star! This is a beautiful work of compassion and expression of TRUE beauty that is wonderfully shared with dignity and grace. Thanks so much and even being a man, my heart really does grasp what these circumstances must have when confronting an aging woman. But then...I love OLD ladies too! They are usually great Huggers!! Jimi-
This is a wonderful effort and I know where it is coming from but I have a couple of problems with it. One is the damn type-face you put in which may be..."beautiful -- but it is almost non-function as far as reading it is concerned. I would think in this context, where, functionality is the primary winner you would choose something like Helvetica, that looks like a surgeon's implement. Along with this I think you could cut the poem some, sorry for that word, but it is, again, maybe too wordy for a really tough topic.

Otherwise this is a supreme view into a seldom seen arena.

Thanks
Jeff

Jeff, such is html with different browsers. Mine is not cursive at all but bold. But I understand. Perhaps too wordy, I will look at it. This is what I do all day from 10to 5 and you are right, I have a view and understanding that is not thought of or seldom seen. Thank you Jeff

Jimi, another spectacular poem from your quill. The ninety year old woman sounds absolutely gorgeous with your adept use of language.

Cobalt blue is one of my favourite shades of blue. And with the stature of grandeur the elegance permeates the page. I can "feel" the class and personal power of this woman.

Love the breast that once seduced a lover's touch and filled out a cashmere sweater.

The Dancing with the Stars is amazing. THIS woman IS amazing. And what wisdom and resilience she has.

Another stunning poem. You write em up real good.

Gloria
