I am unable to keep a money tree alive, what does this sayabout me?
Your art work as usual perfect, and simple words fitting.
Another great piece.

-I am glad you included a picture and author notes. You also hear the expression 'money grows on trees' but I never heard of a money tree. Also, the green thumb for me is nonexistent!
-I like your haiku. It has good format and content.
-Good image in line one and good connection with line two.
-The last line is priceless for the double meaning I wouldn't have thought of at all except for your 'disclaimer' but I am sure some would immediately have gone there.

I feel like I want to go out and but an money tree. Great words that inspire desire. Loved that you added how to care for a money tree in your notes. Clearly you have a passion for these little trees. <3

Hi Gypsy Rose Blue, this is a wonderful statement of words, I'm glad that you added that it is not a political statement - but you could easily sell it to the green party lol! great authors notes too my friend.

Nice one. I've seen these in Chinese restaurants, but wouldn't know where to buy one. I wonder why they are called money trees... do you know?

Thank you very much for your excellent review. :) Hello Phyllis, I don't know why they are called money trees but I there is a belief by some that think rubbing the leaves brings good luck and money. I just like the plant. I can't remember where I bought it but it must have been a grocery store, there is where I get my plants.

I see why you put in the warning that it's not a political statement. It is indeed a satori line, a juxtaposed perspective of the plant which you've observed so crisply in the first two lines.
money tree in spring
so easy to grow and feed
The name of the plant seems to ahve the double meaning of 'banking' and 'saving', even investment, but I suspect it's just saying what a great plant it is and this example leans over a bit.
Clever writing and particularly well crafted haiku.

I think you did a fine job of maintaining the syllable count, but the last line is kind of flat, in my opinion. I thin you should have extended the "money" symbol. For example, possibly, for the last line - "leaves are not dollars."

this is an excellent haiku dear gypsy blue rose! i did think it is a political statement because it would make a brilliant one. however even if you remove the ideology, the poem still stands tall.
thank you for sharing!
blessings!
