Your absolutely right. We need to remember to honour, respect, and attempt to repay our veterans. There is never enough we can do to repay them. But never ever should they go homeless, be destitute, go without any of their needs being meet in America because they are our heroes. Your writing this brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for remembering our veterans. You did such an excellent job.

I came across your poem on the Home Page.
Something prompted me to go there and was
ecstatic to see your poem, "

(we must support our veterans
haiku suite (countless veterans)
got my attention immediately.

The entire poem had special meaning
to all Americans, and especially your
ending with:

"our leaders must
help our vets who fought for all
gratitude"

and reason we must all vote in
the coming election while we
still live in a free country
and the privilege to vote.

I found it a hard style to write but
as far as I can see, you met all of the
requirements. Good luck in the contest.

Hi and amen to your Haiku. The flow of your poem rhythmically sends across an important message. Unfortunately, for too long now, veterans have been disregarded for their contributions on behalf of the military-industrial complex. It's unfortunate that veterans have always fought more with their hearts than with their minds to know the difference of where the real threat is. They should have all been deployed to our borders long ago..hmm, but, its too late. Cheers.

Thank you for writing about our veterans. They fought a war for our freedom and now they are either homeless are have a disability making it hard for them to do for themselves. I support all veterans! And the bold combination of colors make this stand out.
