The first verse was all I needed. I mean who hasn't heard of Doctor Who. I must admit to not liking him though. I like the picture and the rhyme. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.

Hello mystery writer,
I didn't know who you were talking about first, I thought you meant God. Thank you for the author notes, without them this poem is hard to understand.

Hello mystery poet,

There is a wonderfully surreal feel to your poem.

I like the question between stanzas. Gives your reader a moment to pause and take stock. I have to confess that my forehead got more furrowed as the read progressed - trying to figure out the meaning. I suppose this poem is open to several interpretations?

Author notes ... so this is about Dr. Who? Well written. Maybe I'm just a confused creature ... :)

Best wishes for the contest.

This is a terrific send up for the seemingly eternal Doctor Who. I t reminds me of when I first watched the show, out of boredom, on PBS, while I was out of work and watching my two-year-old. The weird creatures all imagined and portrayed so well on a regular stage. Amazing story ideas. The changing of actors was what really caught my imagination. Your poem, written in the AABB format includes as much as anyone could throw in without turning to specific episodes. You seem to have hit a nerve I didn't know I had concerning The Doctor. Nice job.

You created effectiveness and emphasis with your repeated question "Who is he? Nice imaginative and creative work with an element of suspense waiting to unfold in the last line.

You are referring course to Doctor Who, who saves the world time and again from the Dreaded Darleks, who are hell bent in destroying everything that lives. Nicely composed and presented poem as an entry in this "behind the door" poetry contest. Nice mysterious narrative, you'd probably need to know that the Tardis is the phone box time travel machine, well done well expressed work, worthy entry, well done, good luck, Blessings, Roy.

This is a beautiful and fascinating poem.

"Who is He?", you ask? I think there are many answers depending on you personal belief system,

For me this is my creator, who out of nothing, created the heavens and all that exists within.

He was a lonely God until in his image, He created Adam and Eve. All your answers are in my Christian Bible.

Good luck in the contest!

Roger

Absolutely Amazing piece of work! Loved it! Love, love, LOVE Doctor Who! You did the Doctor justice! I can not wait for the next season to come out next month. I am a huge fan, and not just of the new series. I love Tom Baker, Peter Davison, and Jon Pertwee! Thank you for this piece. It put me in a great mood after reading it! I would love to fly away with the Doctor!
