There... this is better. I only changed one letter. ;)
LOL
World-wi(d)e, women wince when weary men whine.
or... not changing any letters...
World-wise women wince, when weary men whine.
LOLOL
I like it much better. ;)

This is a very good quote you have penned. I wish I had six more stars to give you but I don't. I guess I read it with my husband in mind lol He is a very patient man. lol Hugs, Teri

Hello giraffmang, Very witty, memorable with ease. Regarding the re-arranging of words, I wouldn't re-arrange any of the words, but perhaps omit "world weary." It gets to be a bit of a tongue twister, so it would read:
When women whine, wise-men wince or, suggestion, worldly men wince? So far, I like your quote the best, and for the reasons given above. I feel you have fully met and complied with contest rules and the objective.)
Overall, a fun and memorable quote. As this is a contest entry, I wish you good luck. LateBloomer

Hello,
Sorry it took me a while to check your work.
This was a fun entry and I liked the alliteration. Actually when it comes to poetry, even though this is a quote and not poetry, I like alliteration a lot. It's a difficult prompt, though.

Hello :)
Funny quote about women, but maybe a little stereotype-not really, it's funny. The only thing I would say is that it is too long and people may not remember it after a while.

Many thanks. I like to give people some level of credit and assume they can remember 8 words! LOL

I agree but I meant it is not a catchy quote.

Apologies for the lateness and the brevity of this review; I have been away for a week's writers' tutored retreat in very rural Devon. It was outstandingly good. I fear I have returned to discover 45 FS messages waiting.
I thought this was both clever and true. I think we can overlook the mild cheat of hyphenating wise men. Best of luck with the contest.

Hi G, you can't be serious on this one, are you? Never heard that women whine before. Smile:) You're being sexist, but that's intentional of course, and the dare. Although I'm a woman I tend to agree with you in this well phrased quote. I quite like it. I should have come up with a quote about the grumpy man. Just to make the balance right. He, he. All best in the contest. I'm going to see how many votes you get on this one. All the best. Ulla

"When women whine world-weary wise men wince" I needed to write it down to begin my rote memorization. When do world-weary wise men wince? When women whine. Whiney women seems redundant. Love your quote.Kidding about women.

Love this alliterative quote. I think that this is the best of the lot so far as the words flow so easily together to make a point. None of the words seem to be forced in at all.

You misogynist, sexist creep! I love this, but then I'm a guy. You realize this has zero chance of winning, despite being really, really good ... and memorable.
