Great poem for lifting the corners of the lips - I can highly recommend!

Thanks a million. I'm delighted you liked this little bit different take. Lots of fun to write and even better if it gets a smile. Now I'm smiling too. mikey

I love you got the picture and spirit of the poem.
Outstanding job hope you win it.

Awesome review. The site keeps eating these responses. Third time. mikey

That's very funny (hope it was meant to be, or I'm in trouble). It was a lot of fun reading; the first lines seem very poignant but, of course, it flies off in another direction (just like life often does). Evi

absolutely frigging hilarious. Love your Uncle Sheamus. I had an Aunt Tillie . She and Uncle Jiggs battered back and forth like your old two birds. I love old people who still love each other. Good work, nancy boy. *awesome*

OH my goodness...only you.
This is something I expected but you went one step farther and there fore got my last six.
I knew I was saving it for you...just about lost hope but you came right in there and made me laugh.

Hi, my friends. I'm thrilled you enjoyed!! Yep, they're trying to make me work, but you know I'm gonna sneak in when I can. You've made my day. Thank you so much. I'll try and get a review in soon. You're getting better and better and better. Wow! Well, at least this place is doing us some good, yes? Hugs, mikey

Oh the humor that is pouring out of this piece Mikey! Where to begin.
""Auntie taint dead, Uncle Sheamus"
"D'int say she was. Fell ta sleep
on the crapper is all." What a shitty nap lol.
""Here we go now, ya old twerp,
I told ya, don't be
eyein' me bum!" I am particularly fond of this brilliant statement. She dropped a load in his eyes and he is pissed because of it or because he was caught looking lol. Masterfully crafted Mikey.
God bless!

I had to go back and look at the contest requirements twice after reading this in order to wrap my head around this. I have decided that this is a highly inventive approach to the prompt as I am pretty sure everyone else will write to the uplifting and spiritual elements the artwork inspires - you chose to stay "grounded" in reality. I wish you all the best in the voting and thank you very much for sharing it.

Thanks so much! Yeah, I figured "out there" was my best chance. Hahaha. I had fun writing this anyway. Thanks for the well wishes. I have the feeling someone will come up with something breathtaking though. mikey

Breathtaking doesn't always win as personal experience has shown us both LOL .... check the moon cycles as you may have a shot should all the "out theres" come out in full force. In the meantime, check the watch it might be time for a nip LOL.

Hello Mikey
Gone I go ... then back again to this! Hahahaha! Love it is! Fantastic presentation and mind-blowing content. Love in free-fall, I like it! Not even the Kama Sutra has that one. You certainly know how to make those words come to life on the page ... and this one soars/ I love it when you put your heart and soul into a poem. Pure magic.

the death a me,
ya old crow!" -- ROFL
I love the loopy metaphors, the tongue-in-cheek, the sensuality, the satire ... and Uncle Sheamus. My poor old Uncle Paddy would have enjoyed this immensely ... but alas, he's dead. Not that you'd know it though! :)))
You've excelled yourself with this one. I do hope it is appreciated at the booths. I wish you the best of luck. Hee hee! A throwdown ... BANG! hugs Lovi xoxoxo

Hi Lovi, I think I'm actually writing this down. Not many appreciate my dear drunken Uncle or me when I'm drunk either. Inexplicable is the word that comes to mind. Ha!
I'm so delighted that SOMEONE gets this and that is all I need to keep me going. Thank you sooo much. This isn't too terrible late for me anyway. Hugs back and xxoxoxxoo too, mikey

Hi Mikey,
Man you are going for out there this year. Setting the bar high in the first few weeks. I thought this was going to go all 'Duelling Banjos' on us there!
That's love for the common man all aright.
Great stuff

I figure out there is the place to be for me. Ha! Duelling Banjos is something I can do, but I'm better on guitar. Whatever it takes for the art though. :))
Thank you kindly, sir. mikey

Rather humorous and determined thing or person seems bitter and grouch about a relative. Verses chime out a voice saying an old crow will be cause of one's death. Thinking a lot about live. liberty justice
