I thought I'd take a look at your portfolio and see what you've been up to.
My first reaction is, "What the fuck are you saying!" LOL!
On the other hand, this reads more like a poem (I think it's called slam). When read aloud, it's quite affective. Emotional rants can be cool when listened to. Hugs, Lou

You're not alone in your chagrin. :)) I get that reaction a lot. Thank GOD I'm so darling and charming. HAHAHA!!!!
Yeah, kind of a 2AM blather, but I like slam or rant much better. I'm pleased you liked it. I'll have to actually review more of your work instead of just reading it and sneaking away. Thanks a million, mikey

Wow Mikey thou wax philosophical, to be honest I found this a true brain teaser, it certainly was not an easy read. However it was well written but rambling but somehow it made perfect sense.
If it is all fake, then IT is nothing.
There is so much truth in this sentence.
Thanks for sharing

Hi, Ann. Gee, thanks for wading through this. One of my two in the morning rambles. :))
Glad you found some sense, not everyone does. HA!
Thanks so much, mikey
-
You are Welcome, you would certainly not want to see one of my two in the morning rambles Mikey.
But seeing that I read it first at four in morning East coast time, perhaps that is why it made sense LOL.

I think my brain just grew a tiny sprout of unwanted and very dark hair. That little follicle is so small it would probably never show up on a scan, but seriously, do you think it is nice to cause such an irritating thing to happen, you and whomever prompted or inspired this write?
The damn thing is TICKLING my CRANIUM! Seriously, Mikey, did you WRITE this to be a BRAIN-TEASER?
Alright, okay, I confess - I am completely and totally lost, but ignore me because I've always believed I am at least partially nuts...(*grinning stupidly* - very *stupidly*). I didn't understand a lot more than "the" "it" "is" "and" & possibly "real". Then again, how real can it be if it's the horizon walking toward me...nice idea, maybe, but I am more than a bit scared...did someone feed me a different kind of mushroom??? I don't like those kind...
I do have two small suggestions...(HAHAHAHA - yipes)...comma after "takes(,) making who..." & always a comma between adjectives, you! xx

HAHAHAHA!!!!!! This is soooooo funny. Most of my best friends here don't understand a word of this. BUT other people understand it completely to the letter, every single letter and thought, and think I've climbed inside their heads and extracted this. It is so strange. AND the love the line about the horizon the best. LOLOL!
No one is in the middle though unless they're being nice to me.
So, this is like a complete mystery to you? That's so funny. :))
Okay, well, I guess I'll fix the commas. But I have to ask you, if the adjectives aren't real, do they still need commas. :)) mikey
-
My head hurts. I am going to bed. I am not going to think about this anymore, anymore, anymore...(LOL)
-
Oh, and yes, you still need the commas because even IF the flippin' adjectives are NOT real, the pauses are...(smart a** - so how's THAT for abstract, hmmm? LOL) BTW, go to my page. You will see how I deal with things like this - I put that picture there pre-cognitively...(HAHAHAHAHA) It was a premonition of the highest non-thinking...(urp) (excuse me...I ate too much apple pie...)
-
Oh never mind going to my page. Mohammed will bring the mountain to you -

NOT FUNNY. An error ocurred? Never, ever happened before...something is strange...

Ok, I WAS kidding, but now this Ihttp://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y462/staffpicks/Animals/tumblr_m6ljpvIKd21qf24ngo1_500.jpgS odd - twice, 2X the picture hasn't shown up - let's try again...
-
Posse? What am I missing? (AND THIS #$@!!! pic won't show - it's the thinking cat, but the joke's kinda spoiled now...LOL)
-
Yeah, the posse. They look like they're ready to come after me to put commas where they belong. Bright eyed and ready to go. :))
-
I just PM'd you. Wha...??? Posse? Is that good? *grin*

Well Mikey I gotta say your musings are most interesting and they seem to be a philosophical dilemma which are always fun to ponder over even though they most often end up in a vicious circle.
I rather enjoy these types of queries as there really is no solution, but a person does get into some great fun considering all the possibilities.
This would make a wonderful discussion for a logic or philosophy class. :))
Prove you really exist, right?
As always a most entertaining and positively brilliant exposition from your mind to the screen.
Great job, Mikey!

OMG. The Realists. I'd forgotten about them and trying to prove I exist. You can't prove it actually. It ends up with you saying simply, I exist because I say I do. I'll have to dig up my dialogues with Kant and some of the realists and post them.
Well, anyway, thank you. I think this does have an answer, but I'm getting every kind of a response from I get this totally to "you are insane." So, I will take this as a positive. :)) mikey

Hard to follow! I'm not even in the same wave length. Nothing is just that--nothing. How can an abstract word be fake?? Your concrete examples helped to ground this piece, but honestly, Mikey, I think you were high when you wrote this.
What I've learned is that everything is illusion or fake as you put it. Reality doesn't exist. Ponder that!

I've never done drugs in my life. HAHAHA. I have no excuse at all. I will ponder that and probably write another piece about it. See? Your encouraging me!!!! mikey

Mikey,
I can't say that I understand all of your musings, but I think I get the gist of it.
In response to the question, "Should one leave everything behind if it is all fake even though there is nothing guaranteed to be waiting for them?"
The answer is absolutely not, it would be foolish to do that.
I really love your last sentence:
Or perhaps one day, a piece of it will break free and slowly walk to me ... something real.
Hold onto that thought. I sincerely hope that you will find some good things in life that are real for you.
All the best.

It looks like almost an even split. It does seem foolish, so I wouldn't just jump for it. Thanks for your honest answer.
I'm so happy you chose that line. I hope for that. mikey

Should I leave everything fake for nothing? THAT'S the important question. I listen to myself and talk to myself all the time because I know I'm in good company. LoL.
I often listen to the lies about me in my head. The power of the mind and society is immense and it perpetuates false ideas about ourselves that affect our lives in such a negative way.
Snow is little more than water finding the GOING too though~I love it.
I like the metaphor of the wise owl and the wise mind.
Wow! What a revealing admission of mia culpa, the control remote she hated or fought for, the blue cup that perhaps did not match the set, the secret pictures of her- the mistress, EVEN THE ONES IN MY MIND. Being married to a disloyal son of a bitch gives me the reason and right to say that THOSE HIDDEN pictures are the worse.
His end of his marriage as mine is a painful but logical end of a bad relationship.
To be able to be a redeemable and innocent child with a long life and a chance to do things over- would be an redeemable opportunity for a better life.
To be left alone but in welcomed solitude is a conundrum I am facing too. It's a bitch!
Is it wise to leave everything for nothing? I'm still wondering too.
To live free of the fucking lying lies is my endeavor too. I hope we reach it some day.
Brilliant! My friend. The more I read your literary work the more I want to read. You are an amazing writer.
I wish I had sixes left.

Wow, my dear friend. I've read this several times. It's almost like reading your own posting. I so appreciate your candor and insights. It's nice to hear that you understand and relate with your own story. Not everyone gets this and some don't have any idea what I'm talking about. So, I'm thrilled you understand.
If you like this, I can blather on like this endlessly. Did I mention several people have taken butcher knives to me over the years? HAHAHA! Thanks so much. mikey Scar-Free Irish Hugs

Blather On, my friend :) Yes? Ha!

I spent years of my life faking affection for those I didn't care for and people-pleasing. No more. I'm into authenticity. Being who and what I am. For those who don't like it, they needn't come around. I spend much of my time alone (well with Katie Jo, my beagle and best friend.) So all of this made sense to me, but I'm a bit crazy too. I enjoyed this, my friend~Debbie

I understood everything you've written here quite clearly, Mike. But I'm prob'ly not a good barometer to judge from, either. After all, I'm hardly what you'd call "normal" Heh-heh...
Fu@k cookies, cooing infants, flittering fluttering butterflies, nectar, the Greek mythos...fu@k it all, Mike. People give me sh!t constantly because I REFUSE to write about those things, along with love, sex, God, romance, blah, blah, blah. They act like any accolades I might be fortunate enough to receive are just because people "like me," or I use innovative artwork or animation I'm my poetry.
I've never heard such bullsh!t in my entire life as I hear here. You can polish a turd all week long, but in the end (no pun intended), when all is said and done, it's still a piece of sh!t. It's a shiner piece of sh!t, but a piece of sh!t, nonetheless.
No one here--NOT ONE--is given anything without giving something back in return.
You just keep doing your thing. You don't need my approval, or anyone else's , for that matter. You've done just fine all by yourself.
Is it wise to leave everything fake for nothing? Who's wise enough here to say what's fake and what ain't?
Not me, that's for damn sure!

You know we're on the same page, Dean. Nothing flies without the words there. A bunch of pictures aren't worth a damn unless they have the words to make them in to something. You've got two types, the I wanna do thats and the I can't do thats. They're easy to spot by the amount of ENVY they have.
Thanks for the candid response and insights. I think we're both rolling along okay. Thanks a million, mikey
