Howdy Cowdy.
I went back to work and couldn't stop thinking about what happens next. Delia might kill me, but I've left one of the boys in charge and I'll read another chapter or 2.
"I've handled shrewd people before," Archie said." (lol. He's a politician, he is one.)
"Do you think he'd let me look at it since they think I'm going to be teaching law?"
"It's possible, but you'd have to make an appointment." (Darn! That could take 3 months or more!)
"A day or two, if he's not busy." (Okay, so I exaggerate a bit. Kwala has told me hundreds of millions of times not to exaggerate! Well, once or twice at least!)
"It's always nice to have an ally, but how old is he?"
"Very." (Hahahaha! That's almost what I say here... "How old are you Mr Peril?"... Too old!)
Very tense end to the chapter, which is perfect, given the nature of the exercise they are about to undertake.
I can't put this down now and just go back to work, I'm tough, but not that tough, mate!
Catchya on the next chapter.
Fantastic suspense.
Great work.
Cheers Fez

Thank you for the stars and the lovely comments!! You are so funny. You should write a book, oh yeah.... you are.
I'm glad the suspense comes through. You never know.
When I was writing one of the sequels to the Daredevil Girls, I went back to read it so I could start a new one, and got to a suspenseful part, and couldn't put it down because I had to see what happened to a character. haha. Okay, so I exaggerate, too, but it was fun to sort of think, what did I do??
I do really appreciate the humor and sharp mind! Really!!

Wow! so the escape plan is ready to set in motion. I sure hope it works and they get Todd out. I am really worried about everything.

Thank you, Barbara!
Things are about to get hot in the escape. Thanks for reading and commenting.

A very good addition to your book. You make use of a lot of dialogue in your story. I don't read writing that doesn't have dialogue. A lot of writers overlook this.

I think I write a lot because I talk a lot, but then that's just a rumor...
Thanks for the comments, it's really good to know because sometimes I'm afraid I put too much dialogue. The next chapter I post will sort of be a combination of both, and only because I'm trying to move the story.
Thanks again,
Rhonda

This looks to be a well thought out plan, but you know what they say about the best laid plans :). If they manage to find out where Todd is there is no guarantee they will be able to get him out in the limited time they have. This just gets better and better. Nicely done and thank you very much for sharing it.

Yes, the best laid plans often go awry. The problem is, they don't even have a decent amount of time to plan. Archie is desperate to leave, but would bide his time but for Koko's need to get away quickly.
Thanks again,
Rhonda

Arghhhh....
Too little information! Not your fault, I just wanted to read more. Which IS your fault, after all. LOL.
I still haven't read the first chapter. Or two. Can't remember. But I want all the info I can get.
Is Andy going to help? Or is he behind all of this? What caused this extreme experiment in dystopian living?
Writing is strong, as always. Technical issues nonexistent.

Oh wow, I passed the technical parts with you!!! yea!!!
Archie will try to help. He's as much as victim as any of them there, maybe more so.
You'll find out the purpose later, though the main idea was to improve the human condition. They aren't the first in history to try it, either.
Thanks so much for all your ongoing help and support!

Hi Rhonda, wow, this is just such a great chapter. I wonder how the escape attempt will pan out. The imagery is great and the whole concept of the story is fascinating. Can't wait to read on. All the best. Ulla:)))

Thank you, Ulla!! You're a sweetheart!
The next chapter will be full of more action, though I will probably post a Daredevil Girl one next as I'm trying to end that book and move to this one more.
Thank you so much,
Rhonda

Thank you for reading the chapter and commenting. Yes, the escape attempt in imminent. Archie isn't exactly the sit around and think about it type.
Take care, my friend.

Rhonda, this is another quality chapter. I'm prone to enjoy all dialogue chapters. They bring so much more to the aspect of the story. Dialogue brings a chance to know the people involved within the story. You, my friend have such a talented and imaginative mind. I love reading you stories and always will.
Take care and enjoy your evening my friend,,,,,,,,,Jim

Thank you, Jim, I like dialogue, too, as you can tell. I'm afraid it's because I'm a talker.
I so appreciate your time and effort in reviewing, and your sweet spirit!
Hugs,
Rhonda

Koko tells Archie, an old man captured in a similar way to Archie, who is an expert in explosives as well as being a proper miner. They are hatching a dangerous plot to escape, and Archie wants to alert his dad about the goings on in this cult in the middle of the desert, well done, Rhonda, great scribing, blessings, Roy

Thank you so much, Roy! I wrote a marathon to get the six in, and can now go back to my one or two a week, whew...
Hope things are going well with you in the New Year. Great here.

Another great chapter, Rhonda. Great dialogue and suspense building. Nothing more exciting in a story than a planned escape.

Thank you, I'm glad you think so. I'm sure Archie would hope it turns out that way as well... of course he'll be taking a pregnant woman and an old man across the desert, but, hey, what's a good challenge if not to enjoy??
Take care,
Rhonda

That is going to be a challenge - LOL
