I'm so glad you are beginning to list the cast of characters... It's very helpful! It seems oddly disturbing to me that Burkehart would want to call off the search...
Am I wading in too deep, of may he be intending to pursue this search on his own?
Hmmmm.

That sure is intense. Burkehart sure is bitter and doesn't seem to be able to stand the Fae I wonder why. So far I haven't seen any obvious reasons. Wow, that sure is harsh but I guess honest of Burkehart. Oh, I see. Well, honestly in a war I feel all the species are cruel. I am guessing humans weren't much better towards their captives, but I guess I'll learn more in the future and be able to make a better judgment. :)

Hi May 1,
Yes, Burkehart harbors some ill feeling toward the Fae, but you are correct, war brings out the worst in people. Thank you again for going back to read these beginning chapters.

Hello w.j.debi,
An interesting chapter in your fantasy novel. In which period in history is this story unfolding?
There's something about music that's seems to attract "other worldly" forces. I like the name Piper. :)
Best wishes for the rest of the book.

-You definitely put some twists in this chapter.
-Seems like a pack of wolves, no sign of Rupert or Piper,
Braun is very concerned, but for some reason Burkehart
is at odds with Braun.
-They each also had opposing views of the Fair Folk and Fae.
-I didn't understand Burkehart's views until the end, even
though no specifics were given.
-I like that you didn't give details; it was just right to keep us all wondering!
-Well done!

Another excellent chapter in the story of The Piper.
Of course, being the main character, one would assume Piper
has survived and is with the Fae, presumably Summerstorm.
But this chapter also informs us that Captain Burkehart
has had past experience with the Fair Folk,
and seemingly, not a good experience.
But being on opposite side of a war is a different experience, all together.
Excellent use of uncertainty and suspense.
Very well done

Great job! I thought your scene was intense and built tension throughout. It's Redd Leif out there, right? Looking forward to the next part.

Now I have to come to find out what they do to their captives LOL. This is very well penned and thoroughly held my attention. I think it very clever that you leave us wondering about the boys - who has them what has them? are they even alive? Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

Awesome chapter in your book, just a few characters but loads of discovery! There's a battle brewing down the plot line and it should be a whopper! This is very well written but I would like to see it in a Gothic font on the Advanced Editor on your writing page. It's a lot of fun.
Have a great day and God bless.
