This is a nice take on autumn, though I detect a hint of concern at the unusual weather that seems to be happening all over the world. Leaving that aside, the writing is great. Every word is perfectly chosen and it flows like autumn rain. Great job.

thank you for your most appreciated comments.

I was captured by your title: "We wait in wonder" as an invitation to read about the excitement that comes with the change of seasons. Then, it became somewhat apparent that you were talking about climate change, perhaps. You have some very nice lines, particularly the winter tapping cold feet, but some of your vocabulary seems a bit inappropriate, almost stodgy, for a nature poem... acumen erstwhile interminable indecision....perhaps words that are a bit lighter and more lyrical.

Thank you, BB, for your excellent review. I understand your comment about some of the words in the poem. By an odd coincidence, the reviewer after you said, "Every word is perfectly chosen, and it flows like autumn rain." This poetry thing is pretty tricky. Every reader's brain reacts differently, so you just have to go with your own. You can't please everyone, so you might as well please your muse.
Thanks again for your candid opinion.

It was a blind release, right? I would never have know it was you...I think you have blocked me from reading your stuff because I am always so critical...anyway, I would never have guessed that was your work, because I think of you as a cynic and a comic. Granted you always demonstrate your terrific vocabulary, but I'd not realized this side of you. Thanks so much... Was it about climate change?

Well, it wasn't a political statement, if that's what you mean. Everyone, everywhere is experiencing seasons that are behaving differently than we think they're supposed to. That's what the poem is about.
Like most writers, and real people, too, I have a serious side, a humorous side, and some places in between, depending on the topic or our moods.
So I probably am cynical, and what you call stodgy, at times.
And, no, I'm not blocking you, or anyone else. There are a lot of others more annoying than you.
Just kidding, BB. There aren't. ;)
