Yes, this does feel like a song, not a poem. You took a simple theme, added some solid language that flows lyrically and ended up with a solid piece. The minor change in the chorus the second time was a really nice, subtle touch. Good work.

I wouldn't quite say it is not emotional. A country song comes to mind. However, this is the first set of lyrics that I've ever reviewed here, so I don't know how to gage them. And it is precisely because I don't have suggestions for improvement that you're getting five stars.
