The other day... during international woman's day, I was treated to a neat TED talk about posturing, men ... woman, body reflecting mind.... mind reflecting body. Before that TED talk, I had read this poem. Between these two things, it brightened my international woman's day. Or maybe it was the incredibly delicious caramel tarts that my work handed me to mark the day. : D
just because they must(can?) stand while they're peeing?"
I enjoyed reading this. Other than the wondering if must might be can, I'm failing to generate a deeper thought, I figured to mention that I did read it though.

Well, men can sit, and women can stand peeing, but both can get messy lol
Where is my caramel slice? Hmph!
Thanks so much for the great review, Turtle.

Oh, how I love this write, Craig! You hit the nail on the head with this one. I've always said that if women ruled the world that there would be no more wars, as mothers do not want their children going to war.
I'd give you a sixth star for this if I had one left, as I love that you have voiced that women are just as capable as men (if not more so). I agree with "it's time more females turn their turns". My favorite lines are "let's see more smart calls, and a whole lot less balls" and "the testosterone club takes a tumble". :)
Very well written and presented! Bravo ... great job on this write! ~~ Connie

Thanks so much, Connie. Yes, I do believe we would be better off with more women in seats of power, and that very often they do a better job than men. Of course, that's not such a massive compliment in many cases - meaning it wouldn't be that hard to improve on the job that's being done now! Much appreciated :) Craig
Comment from Gloria ....
Terrific artwork. Have men always been in charge?! Well why didn't you say so earlier? Well you've definitely added in the gambit of women, it could only surpassed with Maggie May.
Hey, it's International Women's Day and now I must write a poem about that myself. Thanks for the idea. I might even swipe your word if that's okay.
Great job Craig and a wonderful tribute to women everywhere.

With a few exceptions here and there, in the political scene I think yes. On the domestic front, it might be a different story lol
Thanks Gloria :)

A very well-written poem about International woman's day. I thank you, for including Theresa May in your honor to the woman of the world, I fall into her category, a little old and sometimes boring. Lol

haha, good one, Sandra. I'm not sure if the UK is like the US, and you have to be born there to run for office. If so, I guess there go your chances of becoming British PM! Many thanks, Craig

Well you kno what I am going to say before I say it! Three cheers for this poem and let it go to the top of the list! From a purely female point of view of course! Great rhymes here and the standing up to pee made me smile! Very intentive and a pro-women movement going on throughout these words! Females have made great strides proving themselves in a man's world! A brilliant write and a virtual six for you, love Dolly x

Awwwww, thank you very much, Dolly! We blew our one go at having a female PM thus far; she would have made a great one too, if the Boys' Club hadn't stabbed her in the back before she really got started. There's always the next election, though! Cheers, Craig

This is a very well written poem. You used very good descriptive words and great imagery with the art work. Believe it or not, I had a friend with a daughter by that name. Blessings, Teri

Funny how xenophobia rhymes with zenophobia. Our xenophobic treasonous POTUS. Ah just noticed the spelling. But, xenophobic still applies to POTUS. I would put Theresa May almost up there with POTUS. I do believe, though, that if women are in charge, we might have a more peaceful world. Leaders. Leaders are a kind of warrior. Leaders fight for truth. Thank you for sharing. Well written.

I will agree - May seems like odd company for the other two. But I don't think she comes close to The Don in anything. In any case, I think we need more females across all of the political spectrum, not just one side. Thanks for reviewing :) Craig

Agreed. Very few world leaders approach POTUS in evil. But, she is xenophobic, islamaphobic and blaming immigrants

You've prompted me to add a note :) Thanks

Zenobia here I come :) That could be a fun world with lots of Zenobias in charge. We need the fun ladies and not the serious ones that bite. Nope we can do without the bitey kind. I loved this Roman theme complete with picture.

Zenobia! What a great word.
Merkel is a disaster and never should have been president. She let in so my rapists from the Middle East that her people are insisting she send them back.
If you want to mention a zenobia who thought and governed as well or better than any man, look back at Golda Meir and Margaret Thatcher.
Womens' Day <-- Women's Day, because women is already plural.

Dragon lady? hahaha
Alex Jones isn't a great news source.
Thanks for the catch!

Who is Alex Jones?

infowars.com - an alt.right megaphone, conspiracy theorist extraordinaire, chicken little to the masses.
I apologise, I thought that's probably where you got the comments about German migration from, but it's all over the "conservative" press pretty much everywhere, so it was a silly assumption.
-
There are actual stats on it. Not as many as might be claimed, but a lot by this one group. I don't frequent sites that give only one side since it's a waste of time. It's why I ignore mainstream media. They actually omit stories on Trumph's successes. The MSM is a branch of Dem politics, and when I was young, it wasn't that way. No analysis, just facts. Now, no facts, just innuendo. Why watch half a story?
Fox is probably the best on TV. They always have left-leaning guests, but they usually destroy them, without letting them make a point. But often you get a fair interview. If there were a truly neutral site, I'd watch it, but none exists. I don't know why. Do you?
-
Because false dichotomies and labels and political ideologies that fit on bumper stickers are easier than thinking things through? And outrage pays much better.
-
I like our ABC here in this country. The "liberal" crowd think they are biased to the right, and the "conservative" crowd think they are in the left's pocket. Which makes me think they have a reasonable balance.
-
I'm sure AU has a different ABC, but I'll take a look at ours. I never heard of bias on ABC, just NBC and CBS. And CNN is a big one for fake news and omitting stories.
