The message does hit the target in this short, to the point, acrostic. Some words are harder to pronounce than others, but Xyz ... well, I'm going to have to go back to that classic episode of sesame street where Bigbird asks what the word abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz means before breaking into song and pronouncing the whole thing as a single word.

I liked the use of tripe, and drivel, in relation to people like Alex Jones. Sets the tone accurately.

I really need to hear the alphabet pronounced as a word. I hope they gave that person a medal. Thanks fort the great review, Turtle. Craig

Craig,

Never fear, I'm still here. I'm your faithful and loyal fan from Canada. Why would you think you lose more reviewers? Their loss.

I think I heard about the crisis actors. I wondered what that was about and who was behind it. Now I know, and according to G.I.Joe, knowing is half the battle.

How interesting that is a word in your book. I thought it was a new concept?

Keep those words coming.

Joy xx

I don't know much about the history of XYZ, but it appeared in a dictionary in 1889, so it's not that new. "Crisis actors" isn't in my book. That's just what Jones likes to call grieving students who have almost died themselves and lost their best friends to a madman. Thanks Joy, Craig.

Good job Craig. This is a great acrostic. I have not heard of this character, but your well chosen words fit him. Thanks for sharing. Jan

A word that is worse than an acronym? Well, you can pronounce an acronym, and you can pronounce XYZ as zizz. I guess it qualifies, but the meaning doesn't seem to fit the word. I'm sure there are a LOT of better words to describe the sort of hack journalists we have today, many on the major networks. :)

Who would have thought that was a real word. I enjoyed your nicely published acrostic. I think your font style is lovely. I'm yet to post a poem but eventually, I will get around to being more artistic with words. Thanks for the poem, bye, for now, Ana.

This is a very interesting acrostic poem you have penned. You used very good descriptive words. You used very good imagery with your words. Great job. Blessings, Teri

Oh xyz. I use that word all the time, so it's nothing new to me. ;-) I've just never seen it used in an acrostic before.

I'm glad that YouTube is finally stepping up and taking some responsibility for the damaging things posted on their platform. I guess they wrongly thought no one would take these conspiracies as real, but they were what you call wrong, weren't they.

Anyway great job, Craig. And many thanks for the share.

Gloria

I use it all the time too, but in different contexts. Like "Honey, do you know where I left my XYZ?" Or, "I'm just popping down to the shops to pick up some bread and XYZ". Thanks, Gloria - much appreciated! Craig

I think your poems about linguistic curiosities have been very interesting. I've not read them all yet, but this one was especially good. I would never have guessed there was a word spelled xyz. How do you pronounce that? I don't know much about Alex Jones, but probably don't want to, now that I've read your author notes. Thanks for sharing.

I'm guessing you probably don't want to as well, MM. The less seen or heard of him, the better. As for pronunciation, your guess is as good as mine. I'm thinking, though, it might be "ex-why-zed" (or "zee" for my American friends). "ksiz" just seems too unlikely :) Thanks for reviewing! Craig

This acrostic, Ode to Alex, using XYZ as the vertical theme, and does a great job, in a few words, of describing this nut job very well. He is part and parcel with the whole Trump-era schism from reality.

Now this is a very interesting poem and I was able to understand the meaning after I read the poem a second time. I will have to come back because I find the writer to be interesting and would like to read more
