Gosh, Craig - I don't much like this 5-7-5 poem, as clever as it is! "Say goodbye"??? YIKES! But in fact, it IS a worry when men of big egos and small impulse-control have their fingers on a nuke button...

It is a sobering thought, isn't it? Several people thought "numbnuts" was the word of the day - I think that would have been more fun, "patt" is boring :) Cheers, Craig

Hahaha ... "numbnuts" ... gotta love it! That's a good description of two of the world's leaders who unfortunately hold our fate in their hands. Let's hope we don't get nuked to death by these guys.
This is a clever 5-7-5, Craig, and you taught this reader another new word. I'm going to try and remember this one ... "patt" for stalemate. ~~ Connie

Have to admit, I'm not a big fan of the word, Connie. "Patt" sounds a bit bland to me, also like something produced by a cow, that I'd rather not step in. Still, it's what we got. Thanks for the great comments :) Craig
Comment from --Turtle.
Nice job with this contemplative 5-7-5
a poetic and critical-thinking image... taking several packaged references and applying them to one unfortunate path.
Kim and Don, together they are a long, posturing walk off a short pier for everyone. I
Rocket man and Rocket mouth... I like the flash description summing it all up in numbnuts.

Thanks so much, Turtle. It's quite amazing to me that there are people who are NOT alarmed by such power being wielded by two intellectual and emotional juveniles. Always grateful for your insightful comments. Craig
Comment from Gloria ....
Love the pun in the subtitle, your rhetoric's a bit stale, mate.
I have no idea what you might be referring to in this delightful fiveseventyfive, Craig, but nevertheless it's still a wonderful read. ;-)
Ha, it makes a great addition to your book.
Cheers,
Gloria

Thanks for the lovely review, Gloria. I think the word itself is silly, but can't pick and choose, unfortunately. Cheers, Craig

good one Craig
rocket mouth and rocket man
on another dimension both being rocket
makes them both a spicy green veg. which I like.
so rocket is short for rockette
So a patt on the back for both of them
to make them cough out their ugliness.
it took me a bit to overcome my brain glication and
get the goodbye world puff bit. :-))Z.

I'm not so fussed on rocket - I prefer iceberg, not spicy but yum. Cheers, Craig

I do know that word, and stalemate always reminds me of chess games! Because if the King can't move, it's a stalemate! I am always aware at the end of the game so that my opponent does not get a stalemate! I don't know the novel or the film, it sounds interesting, love Dolly x

haha I thought the word would be numbnuts. You did a great job, Craig, with 'patt'--short & to the point. Yes, say goodbye & get on with the business of living peacefully if that's possible. Good job & thanks for sharing. Jan

A very well-written 5-7-5 poem explaining the word 'patt' and demonstrating the perfect use of this word which simply means stalemate that is a condition where no one can win.
