Ugh, Ted Nugent.
Every time I read the poem, that's generally the reflex that occurs. A limerick that effectively gives a shout-out reminder that he exists... and people want to know his opinions. Though, I can pretty much say, I've never thought to myself... gee, what's Ted got to say about ... anything.
Nice job with this poem, and good limerick beat.

This ode to Ted Nugent finds the image of the Caveman of Rock and Roll a bit tarnished by his defensive words against the shooting survivors. He is a piece of work, but I have to give the cat a bye this time.

Comment from Gloria ....
It really is a sad testimony to civility when folks like Ted Nugent go right to personal insults rather than engaging in positive and vigorous debate. The insults he lobbed made him look vicious, petty and ignorant. Cat Scratch Fever may be where his heart truly is.
Excellent Limerick and I hope he retracts his claws and engages these young people with respect. He is somewhat one voice of a generation and he should act like it.
Great job, Craig.

He seems to have a habit going way back of being an obnoxious loudmouth. I believe he is vicious, petty and ignorant. No doubt in his mind, that equates to patriotic fervour. Thanks, Gloria.

Thank you for educating me on Ted Nugent as well the word doorbellist. Entertaining as usual. Particularly your reference to Trump. Hope you had a nice Easter.

Super clever. I wish you could have entered the political contest from a couple days ago. I would have voted for you. I like that you are exploring some new vocabulary to inspire some poetry. Keep rockin' and rollin, or slide dancing (to the left)! :)

Given that many of my poems have political themes, I probably should have. Oh well, it will come around again . Many thanks, Cindy - Craig

A very well-written poem. There are many people who believe the cause of mass shootings are the guns. But the real problem is the people who get their hands on guns that should not be allowed near a gun.

So, in other words, everyone besides police and military? The real problem is that people aren't psychic, and no one knows what the person they give a gun to is going to do with it. Many thanks, Sandra.

"Doorbellist" ... what a funny/strange word. Your limerick showcases your word "doorbellist" very well, Craig. I especially love your last line "his panties got in a right twist" ... lol.
Happy Easter to you and yours! ~~ Connie
