Fancy an upside down stamped stamp having it's very own word. Yes, wouldn't that be a great thing for a collector, it would be a gold bullion type day if it was the right one. Still going well with your interesting words Craig,
cheers,
valda

"tete-beche" ... that's a new one. I didn't know that there were upside down stamps out there. I suppose that anything that one can collect can have a flaw, and because of that rarity it could potentially be worth more than a perfect specimen. As you say, "there is no need to pout or frown" and "just be glad it came your way". :)
This is a cute poem, Craig. It delivers the meaning of "tete-beche" in a fun way to your reader. I like it! ~~ Connie

Thanks, Connie, for the great review. I suppose one could always just turn the page up the other way - what's the big deal? LOL
Cheers,

Hi Craig. This is a nicely worded and rhymed poem that's informative regarding the word for a stamp collector. A mistake of that sort does increase the value of these things. I enjoyed reading about the philatelist. Marilyn

This speaks about how sometime flaws on stamps could enhance its value to the philatelists who feel glad at such flaws came to their way of stamps collection; well said, well done. DR ALCREATOR

A very well-written poem about the value of an art piece that can be increased when there are traces of a flaw or like a postage stamp that seems to be printed upside down.

Funny, most of my mail gets zapped to me these days.
Stamps are a dying breed. I'm guessing philatelists are, too.
I remember an upside-down bi-plane stamp. Very valuable.
I also remember S&H Green Stamps--gave 'em away at the A&P.
Bought my first guitar with two-and-a-half books.
I admire your Christmas present.
Peace, Lee

Thanks very much, Lee. I don't know what an S & H or an A & P is. I do, however, know what a guitar is - have owned quite a few in my time :) Cheers, Craig

Decades ago, A&P was a grocery store chain. As a promotional gimmick, A&P awarded shoppers S&H Green Stamps which could then be redeemed for 'prizes'. That guitar was a 'prize' all right. A fellow guitarist, eh? I'm working on something of a memoir linking my girlfriends with the guitar(s) I owned during her tenure. Oddly enough, I call it Girls and Guitars. I'm sure it will earn me tons of S&H Green Stamps. L

This is a very interesting and well written poem about the stamp collector. Believe it or not, I used to collect stamps when I was young. They were interesting to look at and learn the story behind. Great words. blessings, Teri
