Hi Craig,
Nice job with this easy poem. A nice rhyme and pace scheme highlighting the word murdermonger with a shout-out endorsement on who the best murdermonger is to read. Also nice was the trivia that may have helped select Poe over other murdermongers.
I didn't see anything to change and enjoyed reading.

Poe, a true murdermonger if ever there was one. I read all his stories when I was about 12, a scary time of life for a lot of reasons. I still don't like horror. Hopefully, I outgrew it, but I avoid Dean's work and that of others. Too creepy for these old bones. :)

What an interesting word...and describing one of my favorite authors. I like it very much overall, but your use of the word extraordinaire seems not quite right. What about saying 'This murdermonger scribe extraordinaire'? Just a thought. Carol

Hi Carol, Thanks for the suggestion. I think "murdermonger" already includes scribe in its definition - a writer of horror. Always happy to receive suggestions though :) Thanks for the kind comments - Craig

A very well-written poem about murder writers. It is a great gift to be able to write abou murders and how it happen mostly by imagination, I hope, and maybe some facts of murder cases of the past.

Well another fine word mister come and go as you please, Craig. lol. Poe has definitely written some good material, but nothing too terribly hair raising, maybe.
Great job and always a pleasure to read your work.

Oh, The Shining was pretty scary stuff, Gloria! What's that you say? Not Poe? Pssshhhhhh, a trivial detail. Trust you to miss the big picture!
Many thanks again :)

I really like the title of the poem it was really catchy. I think the poem is very well written with lots and lots of imagery. The reader enjoyed.

Who can resist the great Edgar Allan Poe and his "murdermonger!" That's a great word! This was a fun little poem to read. A wonderful nod to Poe and a clever way to celebrate his work in your poem.

CD,
I think this little series of poems is a clever idea. Though I have only seen a couple of them, this is my favorite so far. I love Poe and I love the word 'murdermonger' - how creative! Thanks!
