Hey, Craig...

Just wanted to let you know I read through this poem, a little late, but better late than never; strong message, one that I'm surprised didn't stir more excitement.

Especially on a reviewing site, where writers and poets are at risk for a bunch of cooks making suggestions on what spices to add or remove from the recipe. (one of the worries I have when I review... potentially offering bad advice.

I think some days I think I might want to change my handle from Turtle... who? to Miss Counsel.

Thanks very much for the wonderful rating and the great comments, Turtle. I think we can only offer what advice we think might be helpful (as you always do). It's up to the writer to decide what to do with it. Sadly, just like "out there" in the big, bad world, some reviewers seem to feel a need to make themselves feel important by belittling the efforts of others. BTW, your counsel is always appreciated by me, and I think it's a cute name, so go for it! Cheers, Craig

A very well-written Cinquain. There are many professional people that when they see the potential of a new comer will put them down in fear that the new comer will be more popular than they are. It is strange that some people will not see another shine and maybe steal their limelight.

Yes. Women have had to suppress their talents, thoughts, dreams for men and children. In today's society many women work, do all housework and cooking and also care for the kids. Some of them are single but many are married. I would not have been happy being stay at home job. I knew the definition as soon as I saw the word. It helps to know some Latin roots. Thank you for sharing
