Hi, Craig;

This poem reminds me of some of the things C.S. Lewis speaks to in his early works. It is each man's right to believe what he will, and live his life the way he wants. No one else can judge another man's life.

Wow this seems to be a very challenging style poem to write with the certain required rhythm. But Id say that the pearly gates are very rewarding to look forward to after departing from this life. Great presentation.

Yes, some people come by compassion naturally. They identify with those who suffer, and it bothers them for years. After fifty years or more, I still have images in my mind of things I wish I had not seen and did not know. I can't forget the horror of innocent people suffering. I don't see how anyone could just walk away. Or worse yet, laugh! And many do.

Well Mr. Craig, I enjoyed you showing off your meter today :) Your poetry skills are being revealed. (I only have slight issue with the meter in your last line).

I enjoyed your word for the day. I love your theme. My favorite line that stands out :

- "Ignore the folk who preach damnation". - this is something I needed to hear. Thank you!

Then my next favorite moment that brought an aha moment for me:

- "Through peacefulness is hope restored,
and kindness is its own reward"

This reaffirms that I'm not alone in these very thoughts. I'm a believer, but I don't attend church. I just want to worship in my own way without lots of people telling me how it should be done.

This was a pleasure to read this morning, my friend.
