Hahahaha, I liked this one a lot, and it is certainly a splendid ad for there product. So Australia also produces Rum! I'm learning all the time. I Liked the word. It has a certain 'umpf' to it. I hope you've received your payment! All the best. Ulla:))

Not yet, Ulla. I wonder what's with that? Many thanks, Craig

Hey, Craig.
The summer is rough to keep up with reviewing, but I was able to read through this poem. Thought it a fun use of the word of the day, with self aware humor at how seeming to sell a product to others can seem like selling out for a buck. In-art advertising... tongue and cheek, as I'm betting BDC wouldn't be funneling you any funds even if they do see an unaccounted for upswing in sales.
But in truth, the use of a specific rum to highlight the word of the day made a good frame to a non-specific word meaning rum.
The rhyming and tone were strong and entertaining.
(the only side thought I had highlighting the end push the humor of overhand praise (underhand advertising) (but not suggesting to change...)
Of stiff rumbullion, I need just a dash--
Psst, BDC, please forward me the case.
: D
I heard the psst... the dear is just a more polite way of giving the similar impression of (side of the mouth) after all the praise given to the Bundy Rum, they can thank you with money... not more Rum... as that you only need a little of.

They won't be sending anything my way? Then what IS the point? I think psst would work equally as well :) Many thanks once again, Turtle, for a great review. Craig

Thanks so much, Valda. I thought of you while writing this, figuring you might have a soft spot for Bundy :) Cheers, Craig

Hi, Craig,
So, you've started 'singing for your supper,' so to speak? I don't know if I would want a pallet of rum. (Unless it was Christmas time...or New Years. Ooh, and then there's Valentine's Day, and you need something to make it through the Lenten season, and then celebratin' Easter.)
Okay, a pallet of rum would be a nice thing to have.
Great use of your new word,
~patty~

A pallet of rum would be great. Almost as good as an ice cold, refreshing XXXX Gold beer. Available at all good outlets :)
Thanks heaps, Patty.

A very well-written poem about the need for a drink sometimes when the world seems to get us under. We need a little bit of courage to face and overcome the problems.

Well that's a cute way to name something that is much shorter. Wonder what a bullion has to do with rum, perhaps the gold color? I don't really know much about rum so can only guess.

That's a good guess, but most rum is clear, like vodka. This one's an exception. Many thanks :) Craig

How low can a poet stoop? Great rhetorical question. Mu unscientific answer is--as low as the bees knees.
Great poem, Craig. Your lines flow well with good rhymes & a story that many will identify with too. I have never heard of this brand--but that is ok since that little bit of trivia doesn't affect the substance of your poem. Good job & thanks for sharing. Jan

Another one of your drinking poems. You know they are my favorite. Next time that I am in Australia, I will give Bundaberg Rum a try. I like your play on words with cash and bullion. Rum and bullion. I think I've got this one.

I think you have - thanks so much, Debbie. You'll find it in every pub :) Cheers, Craig
Comment from Gloria ....
Everything is as clear as that BDC rum. Man alive, you sure have weird bottles on the other side of the world. And it really does look like firewater, or gasoline at least. LOL.
Excellent imagination friend, Craig. :)

Tastes a bit like gasoline as well, if truth be known lol
Most grateful, Gloria.

A cute and clever poem with good rhyming to feature your new word ~ rumbullion. I liked your author's note, too, which is a not-so-subtle request. Maybe they will send you some. Great job. Marilyn
